I really don't think the lack of power is a problem for this board. That's not really what it's meant for. Direct drive is great because it's quiet and has low rolling resistance, you can essentially kick push this board. It's also why for such a small battery pack, it can get amazing range as well. I wouldn't call this a light board but it is definitely a low profile board. Short of a 2WD hub drive board, which has way less power, the X3 with its direct drive is pretty good for the price. If Exway is going to come out with a 4WD belt or gear drive, that's fine and all to compete with other 4WD in terms of power, but I really hope they come out with another direct drive option. If you haven't ridden a direct drive, it is such a nice feeling and really does get as close as you can to an analog longboard. The biggest problem I agree with is the ground clearance with those direct drive models. Also, the way that they are designed, all that shock is going directly into those trucks too, which is not surprising from all the cases I've heard regarding to these trucks just snapping.

Acedeck should offer a 4wd board using their element gear drives.

I know right. That would be amazing

I hope Acedeck comes out with a nice 2 in 1. I have the nomad, min and Stella S1. I think the sweet spot for Acedeck would be something similar to the Propel Pivot Gt but with CNC trucks.

We already have a 2in1 :) the Nomad N1 Belt, or even the Nomad N1 2IN1 Gear Drive

Nice vid! The original ares x1 belt drive had a 4wd option, but that's discontinued. I thought using direct drive for the x3 was to give it more of downhill longboard feel with better free roll

I love the X3 too and have ridden it extensively. This is a road specific board with a unique shape that really feels good under your feet. I wish the deck was a little longer and had some flex. I would also like to see a new version use a more powerful version of the direct drive and come standard with the 105 MAD/ Acedeck wheels. They make a significant difference in traction and comfort.

Pretty sure they discontinued the x3 due to a lot of the trucks breaking. Where the motors attach to the truck would snap and it seems like it was a pretty frequent issue.

Thank you. I've seen many good reviews but it's crazy how 1 discouraging comment can throw me off. My last board is almost 5 yrs old but it was a beast. It was a 10s but it had the original focbox unity in it which was also in the Enertion Raptor back in the day if you remember and that board was powerful for its time and even now still. I think the Focbox played a big role because I'm 230lbs and this board could take me up any hills no sweat😂. I'm interested in the X3 because of the low maintenance and quiet motors and hoping for similar performance. This comment makes me look forward to it, cheers.
