There is significant meaning in every step of statement here. Truly life goes around 360 degrees, in meaningless appraisals and how business objectives are met. Clearly life is far more technologically "dynamic" today then before I retired. But the way business leaders seem to scrounge performance from their workforce is, in effect, the same.
