Extraordinarily simple, yet such effective advice, as always, thank you Steve. Like the 'Swiatek' comment too.🙂

The hand passed the racket. Amazing. Never seen it. Your a genius

Take a look at the wonderful graphic of Swiatek at 01:35. The measured angle between hand and ball at contact is 76 degrees, not 90 degrees. This means that her wrist at contact is extending (lagging behind the racquet) 24 degrees .

Great lesson! 🎾 For the drill at 2:40 Step (1) gently feed the ball and actually hit the ball with the buttcap. Step (2) step little further away from the feed. Not quite clear why we are stepping away in Step (2). And not quite clear on the location of the "imaginary ball" and "real ball" 🤔

Respectfully suggest you relisten to the video, and it will become clear.

Hi, Yes I think I could have been clearer. But it's not very important. I was using a ball machine. So I never to make space to change from hitting the butt cap to hitting the strings. With a real ball, the change is pretty natural. Does that make more sense? And do you like the drill?

Steve where did you learn to articulate so intuitively please. Incredible teaching tool you have there was it self taught, a mentor, a course, a book? Whichever and I'll understand if you decline divulging tricks of the trade but you've no idea how much that amazing skill set has pot equal fun and confidence back into my game on so many levels. You're a great asset to the sport, thank you for your exceptional patience and keen insights. Remarkable coaching 👍

Thanks for the compliment. But I'm afraid I have no idea where my presentation skills come from. My videos are all made in one take. And after picking the subject, I just share what I'm thinking. Wish I could add more. I do think it helps that I write. But thanks for the very kind words. Have a great day

@@oneminutetennis I've hit the greatest forehands of my life with your instruction. The trouble is with imparted spin and distance it's a real test to do it with any imoressive consistency. Yet up pops another video explaining just what I was looking for as effective as it is simple. Extraordinary, I'll try this out and get back to you once our rain eases off. Keep up the great work coach, a privilege Steve. You're a gifted instructor 🎾

Federer and Nole more full body integration into timing, Rafa more upper body and arm producing an unimitable heavy topspin with impeccable timing, in my opinion.

Federer, Rafa and most of the men on the ATP hit with a compact so-called "ATP style forehand", keeping the racquet on the hitting side of the body. Whereas most of the women on the WTA have a larger backswing and break the plane on the backswing. The "ATP style forehand" has also been referred to as the "Lag And Snap" forehand. This suggests that the WTA style forehand does not have the lag. But the clip of Swiatek has her lagging the racquet. So my question is: Is the racquet lag particular to the compact ATP style forehand? 🤔

thank you coach for the great lessons. a bit of advice: the bell sound is very loud and a bit of annoying, maybe something more subtle would attract clicks better

The racket lag will happen naturally if you rotate your hips initially.

She is not watching the ball at the contact point.

Your right. Swiatek is not going to win anything without watching the ball 😳
