Thank you for your explanations and this video of plate and shell element forces. I'm wondering how to calculate total Fxy force (shear plane force? - I'm not sure of this definition) which is parallel to the x direction. If we want to calculate total Fxy force which is parallel to the x direction, do we have to multiply Fxy force by length which is along the y direction?

Interesting how this is differnet to stress block conventions used in applciaiton like Strand7. e.g. The Fyz in this video would be called Fxz in applicaitons like Strand7 i.e. the force acting in a plane perpendicular to the x axis pointing the z direction.

Hi Donald. It's a good point you make. The convention used matches what is used in another Australian-made application called Spacegass though which you may know too. Unfortunately this is different to most other software I've seen like ST7, RISA, Dlubal RFEM, MIDAS etc. It's important to know the conventions and local axis systems in each software as it may differ.
