Could one argue that the southern states constitutions were not Republican in form if certain people were denied due process under 14th amendment. I think congress could make any requirement for readmittance. Their land was always in their union and their previous government was beliigerent.

The reason the United States has shown so much promise and continual political achievement, which is highly disputed in the current political atmosphere, is simply due to the fact that Christianity is the most adhered to religion in the United States. The roots of our democracy are Christian principles and many of them feared a wavering faith in the future. The heavenly political arena, which states Jesus Christ as the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branch, has recently been shifting due to the intentional and blatant ungodly actions of the liberal populous and our leader's legislative submission to their request, things like abortion and same-sex "marriage", is highly jeopardizing the countries order and status. This can be seen clearly yet, denied mockingly and condescendingly, although, perhaps unknowingly. Either way, it is in force and is hanging on by a thread. Regardless, the Church will continue to stand the test of time as always and grow unceasingly. Perhaps due to the fact that the lesser moral and endowed class of women are aborting their children, it will leave the balance in favor of the Christian family structure that is pushing generation after generation of godly children out of Christian homes into a more virtuous future for the United States. It may just be enough to turn the looming hand of wrath back to the hand of favor. We will see. Glory to the King.
