I’m encouraged by this message about the “renewing of my mind”. I do have moments when I question my salvation, or wonder if I have truly been born again. I can say with all sincerity that my mind has been renewed in that instead of worrying about politics and/or things of the earth, I now have a tunnel vision of walking toward the Light. And pray that Jesus is holding my hand, leading and guiding in that direction. That’s my ultimate goal and I’m not afraid of death because I believe at some point that brilliant light is my future destination! Not to say that I never have negative thoughts, but in the deepest part of my mind the Light remains and I never ever want to lose sight of it! Thank you for Enduring Word !

George Mueler's several step plan for discovering the will of God for your life 1. Completely surrender one's will to God 2. Dont leave the results to feelings or simple impressions. If so, I make myself reliable to great delusions. 3. Seek the Holy Spirit's will through or in with connection with the Bible. -This is what Muller said, "The Spirit and the Word must be combined. If I look to the Spirit alone without the Word, I lay myself open to the great delusions or I lay myself to great delusions also." So seek the Holy Spirit's will but not necessarily through an ecstatic experience. Seek His will in and through His Word. 4. Take into account providential circumstances. If it's God's will, He's gonna open some doors and close some others. 5. Ask God in prayer to reveal Himself to me. 6. Through all of the above, make a deliberent judgement according to the best of my ability and knowledge. 7. Continue to pray about it two or three more times and if the mind is at peace, proceed accordingly.

God's will is simple, believe in his son that is the word of god... think that the better prospect would be too learn the one and only true defense against the devils ill will. be decisive and deceptive in all thoughts! so the ideal would be being, be in control of your own destiny and do not let your destiny be in control of you

Not sure where what you're referring to appears within this video, but Pastor David may have misspoke, made an outright error, or he may have meant Latitudinally, as in, it's latitude is more northward on the earth than California, based on proximity to the equator.

God’s will (moral will) is what God wants us to be & to do. And God’s moral will is 100 percent revealed in His Word. Outside of the moral will of God, the decision is yours - especially personal choices. There’s so much misuse & abuse of God’s will. God in his sovereignty chooses to control some issues & allowed us to have freedom of choices. Choices run throughout the Scriptures , from the garden of Eden,Adam & Eve were given a choice. You know the rest of the story, they chose to disobey God. No one really wants to make a mistake & people go thru this agonizing, endless process of finding the will of God & when their personal decision did not seem to be what they want, it’s easy for them to rationalize, “well, this is God’s will for me”-pushing their accountability to God! Friends, this is a liberating process. The Bible does not teach specific individual plan for your life. The Bible teaches us to make wise decision for our lives. 🥰🙏

Vicary, thanks for sharing. We would agree with a lot of what you are saying, and yet the Bible does have passages where God's will is very specific for a person's life. When Saul of Tarsus was blinded and converted on the road too Damascus, God directed a man named Ananias to pray for Saul and give him a message. God had a very specific ministry for Saul/Paul. Acts 9:15 15 But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen vessel of Mine to bear My name before Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel. 16 For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name’s sake.” I understand and agree with you about the need for Christians to make wise choices, and that many times Christians use the excuse of "God's will" to cover for the poor choices that they make. However, the Bib does teach us that God often directs us personally. Blessings, and thanks for writing.
@vicarygee1044

@@DavidGuzikEnduringWord I respect your opinion Sir. I totally agree with the verses you quoted directing individuals for his purposes. However, those he directed & used are for redemptive purposes & for the spread of the gospel. I have to be clear that there are no directives in the Bible about individual’s blue print personal plans like- which church to go, what car or what & where to buy a house,which college to go, other personal preferences, etc. Where there are directives for God’s moral commands- we are to obey & in those areas where the Bible gives no command or principle(non-moral decisions), the believer is free and responsible to choose his own course of action. In non-moral decisions, the objective of the Christian is to make wise decisions on the basis of spiritual expediency. All these statements I quoted & completely agree with the authors of my favorite book - Decision Making & the Will of God by Garry Friesen with J. Robin Maxson. This book is about a biblical alternative to the traditional view. And I heard some pastors preaching from this book also. Thanks for your reply. Blessings to you & your ministry.🙏

@@DavidGuzikEnduringWord what is the specific verse here about God’s individual will for Jonathan? This is about God’s help & protection for Jonathan & Saul against the Philistines.
@DavidGuzikEnduringWord
@DavidGuzikEnduringWord Жыл бұрын
@@vicarygee1044 The revealing of God's specific will for Jonathan is found in 1 Samuel 14:6-14. Jonathan sought God's specific will for a situation, and God answered him through circumstances, and even caused the enemies of Israel to fight one another and confirmed it with some sort of earthquake. May I refer you to the commentary as well? enduringword.com/bible-commentary/1-samuel-14/ I hope that this helps. Blessings. By the way, I don't disagree with your position of Christians needing to use wisdom and discernment. I agree 100%. It seems that some Believers blame God for their poor choices. 6 Then Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armor, “Come, let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised; it may be that the Lord will work for us. For nothing restrains the Lord from saving by many or by few.” 7 So his armorbearer said to him, “Do all that is in your heart. Go then; here I am with you, according to your heart.” 8 Then Jonathan said, “Very well, let us cross over to these men, and we will show ourselves to them. 9 If they say thus to us, ‘Wait until we come to you,’ then we will stand still in our place and not go up to them. 10 But if they say thus, ‘Come up to us,’ then we will go up. For the Lord has delivered them into our hand, and this will be a sign to us.” 11 So both of them showed themselves to the garrison of the Philistines. And the Philistines said, “Look, the Hebrews are coming out of the holes where they have hidden.” 12 Then the men of the garrison called to Jonathan and his armorbearer, and said, “Come up to us, and we will [b]show you something.” Jonathan said to his armorbearer, “Come up after me, for the Lord has delivered them into the hand of Israel.” 13 And Jonathan climbed up on his hands and knees with his armorbearer after him; and they fell before Jonathan. And as he came after him, his armorbearer killed them. 14 That first slaughter which Jonathan and his armorbearer made was about twenty men within about [c]half an acre of land. 15 And there was [d]trembling in the camp, in the field, and among all the people. The garrison and the raiders also trembled; and the earth quaked, so that it was a very great trembling.

So what exactly is GODS WILL?
@DavidGuzikEnduringWord
@DavidGuzikEnduringWord 2 ай бұрын
Beautiful question. God has a will and a calling for each person, a position of maximum utility and impact for the Kingdom of Heaven. There is a "What is Your Calling" video in this same series that addresses this question more individually. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJ7Qk6GXaNutrbc But it might be more generally said, as it regards our individual capacity to respond to Him, that God's will is to come into the rightful place in our lives, not through brute force and grand spectacle, but invited eagerly through understanding, faith, and love. God's will might be similarly expressed in this exchange in Matthew 22:36-39: “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ As commands from God, these encapsulate His will for us. Thank you and God bless! -Enduring Word Team

Here's a thought...just for your consideration. This might not be the best example, but here goes... Every human on Earth has, at least some of the time, as desire to be acknowledged, appreciated, valued, etc. It seems to be a God given desire. If that is true about us, and sometimes we take it way too far...it wouldn't ba a difficult thing to consider that God, who truly deserves our potties, would desire that price and acknowledgment. Just a thought. Blessings!
