All clubs should have their own stadiums and an academy and training ground as well to develop young players. AIFF should allow 9 foreign players in team and 4 on-pitch with an option to extend 5 on-pitch via substitution. It'll develop our experience. Academy graduates should be allowed at infine numbers just like the ePL and also continuing 3 domestically developed players mandatory rule. Doing so will make the clubs to tie up with various schools that'll spread football all over India. Prize distribution amount should be increased and fairly distributed among teams. AIFF should invite various sports enthusiasts companies to sponsor teams. Regular broadcasting of matches is very necessary for the sport. Matches should be on the last 3 days of the week i.e. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. To grow the popularity each club whosoever wins the league should march around its domestic city to show their achievement. ISL Draft should reduce its basics to U18 players and players selected in those drafts wouldn't be counted in elite 25 of the squad but will be able to participate. I expect a separate knockout tournament for ISL with Durand Cup as a knockout tournament for all the teams all over India just like the FA Cup.

Superpower Football prepare for what? These clubs are playing year in year out, so football preparation- wise they are as ready as can be. Coming to the financial bit - players’ prices, salaries, club payouts/ fees etc - which I don’t have a head for, maybe that would take time to organize and sort out. Even then, if those concerned really wanted it, they could do it in a couple of years. Draft the new rules and regulations of the new format, make it official and start the new season ASAP! By the time the 6th year comes around, and we’re just beginning a new football league ‘era’ in India, we’ll realize the other Asian countries have already overtaken us by leaps and bounds ( not that they haven’t already) and disappearing over the horizon... never mind the footballing world. And we’ll be asking the same questions then, that we’re asking now. When will India qualify for the World Cup? When will India be Asian champions? Etc. Hope I’m wrong. We’ll know after 6 years!!

ISL as a top flight. A second and a third division . Fourth division consists of state leagues, and state league has their own small cup tournament in the state. The national knockout cup should involve the clubs from the top three divisions and the winners of the state cups. State associations should run the state tournament. Give this system a 20 years and it will be fantastic.

20 teams is a great idea. There should be also B Division and C Division league in the later years just like european leagues. So that small clubs will also benefit and will also benefit Indian football as more talent will get platform but AIFF must make sure there to be limited overseas players.

Roadmap made keeping in mind interest of all the parties. Issue that can arise- promoted team might not be able to handle the expenses and because they are not receiving money from cetral pool, they may run into financial troubles in first year.

Just like the FA Cup which is the oldest tournament of England Durand cup should be made the official instead of the Indian super Cup and the isl shield should be called the AIFF shield and the winner of the league and Durand cup should face each other in order to win the shield.

Year 3 will be important. I believe more than 2 teams will like to join the ISL since after one year in the league they will be getting the central revenue amount and the clubs which have earned some fame in I league won't like to miss the bus of ISL as after that you have only 2 chances to make into it by winning the title. It will be like 16-17 teams within 2024-25 considering rest of the things remains same more or less.

I think this will make indian football worst cauz think there is no secondry leauge who produce young talents in future . And in the roadmap something need to change like in isl two or one bottom should be demoted in I-League and top two I-League teams (winner and runner-up) should get a chance to pramote in isl . So the I-LEAGUE teams get a chance to compete with the best clubs of India (in isl) . This is my opinion.

The League looks to be heading for some real crowd participation this season..... But...... The League need a proper structured Governance.... AFC has ordered AIFF to allow more clubs to participate and make it a minimum of a 16 team League within 2 - 4 years, or else Indian clubs may loose the AFC Champions League spot ( Direct & Play-off - A point you did not want to mention)..... AIFF strongly need to bring in the 3 Big from Calcutta ( MB, EB & MSp) because these great clubs were always the real crowd pullers on their match days. And hopefully a couple more from the North-East, Kerala and Kashmir.... The League need to do out with the self proclaimed Queen (N.Ambani), and those silly prize distributions and announcers (irritating)....

In the 2024/25 season there are 14 isl teams. But the sad part is clubs like shillong lajong, aizawl fc, churchill brothers, neroca will still have to play the second division if they dont win i league. Its like 10 isl clubs get to play the first division easily and except mohun bagan and east bengal other i league teams have to win to get into the first division

Nonetheless if we want Indian Football to be at international level then we got to have a proper league with atleast 20 Teams.
