I started taking Spanish at the local community college last spring and am beginning the second semester this fall. I have been watching the videos and they have been very helpful in reinforcing and reviewing current lessons in class. What you want to use is just "Estudio quimica". Regular present tense for something that you do habitually. If you are studying in this very moment? Estoy estudiando.

Great lesson. Just to see if I understood correctly: El presente progresivo (present tense) is a verb tense, but it's progressing right now. Present tense can be present progressive (e.g. yo estudio can mean "I am studying"), but it isn't as clear. In English, to change from present tense "I study" to the present progressive "I am studying" you need a pronoun, is/are/am, a verb, and -ing. It's the same with Spanish. Even though you can generally drop the pronoun. In Spanish -ing is: for -ar verbs: -ando for -er and -ir verbs: -iendo drop the -ar/ -er/ -ir and replace with the correct ending. yo estudio - yo estoy estudiando ( estudiar - estudiando) yo como - yo estoy comiendo ( comer - comiendo) Nosotros escribo - nosotros estamos escribiendos (escribir - escribiendo) iregular verbs: ir - yendo words with double E's get Y's placed in between leer - leyendo creer - creyendo

May I ask, is there such as a, "Future Perfect" & "Future Progressive" tenses in Spanish, like in English separately?? Or it just belong to the Simple Future in Spanish?. Cuz I'm really got confused. Please help me guys🙂

There sure are such things...for both. Use "haber" for have - and the -ado/-ido form of verbs (habré estudiado - I will have studied) and future progressive (estaré estudiando - I will be studying). Now, whether or not they are common is a different issue. Usually, native speakers will say "voy a estudiar" or "estudiaré".
