lol she's got some useful tips but Tara has always come across to me as someone who is EXTREMLEY self absorbed. For lack of a better comparison at the moment (and forgive me for this one), she reminds me of that that group of girls in HS. Tara is a 6 and the other girls are all 9s and 10s, but the 6 has the most attitude and swears she's the baddest in the group. That's Tara in my opinion.
@happyduck92233 жыл бұрын
The expression she is using here is in reference to someone who knows they are good at something, yet still misses the mark on occasion. She clearly knows how to sing, yet, doesn't do everything perfectly. Understandable. She knows that she knows her vocal stuff, it wasn't supposed to come off as conceited. 😂 The Fallen Angel is in reference to a celestial being who is clearly holy, yet still falls to sin like man. ( This isn't about religion, just explaining the phrase)

@TheSeeking2know5 жыл бұрын
Just like you said, she's doing what a lot of other vocal coaches are not doing - builiding a brand and a voice. She may not have the susbscriber count of some but she really seems to engage in many ways beyond the reaction/analysis videos and offering vocal training. Waiting for the next innovation from her team. If she was just looking for subscribers she could focus on looking for the singers with massive fanbases (K-Pop especially) and just "react" to their videos alone to increase her YT subscribers, but she's going for depth and legacy, not just massive immediate growth.

Being good is a boost but for people who can't sing, all u need to do is practice, it isn't a quick thing to be good at tho, takes patients. Maybe even years, if someone is needed at sinning, it would probably be a good idea to go to vidoes for beginners, but everyone is capable of sinning good : )

"Ad-libbing" is a singer's version of an actor's "improvisation", and it's as simple as that. That's the simplest way of explaining it.
@OTnerd74 жыл бұрын
That's such a great explanation of it.
@qwertyasdf0014 жыл бұрын
It’s short for ad libbitum and if you read music then you know it means you can alter the speed of the notes. But you can’t just lose all rhythm. Like if an actor would improvise (like you said) they would make up a line of the spot. But it has to make sense

Sooooo I first discovered Tara on X Factor. Thought she was hilarious and a great singer. And then found her years ltr on KZbin. Subscribed the other day and been watching her vids. I am shocked and amazed with how much I’ve improved. Like on a scale of 1-100 (100 being an A cuz I’m Asian and everything is on a grade system) I started at maybe a 30%. Ppl would tell me not to sing anymore. I thought I sounded ok but if I recorded myself and played back, I’d be horrified. So watched the videos and tried the tips. Bored today and decided to sing I dreamed a dream after watching Tara react to Lea Salonga. Recorded it. No warm ups, not taking it seriously. It was pretty darn good. Like maybe a B-. Very happy :) I want to do karaoke now

Hi again! I got confused now. I think, there are two kinds of ad-libs: 1) When we sing out loud and make that switch from one note to another without making even the slightest breaks. 2) When we sing a little quiet and make the small (almost unnoticeable) breaks and add the certain sounds like ha-ha-ha... For example there is a song that contains an ad-lib that is very difficult. The song is "Pentatonix - New Rules x Are You That Somebody" This is a link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nHSbmKiqoKioZ8U So, at 1:26 Scott sings that ad-lib "Patte - e - e - e - ern" And when I'm trying to repeat that, I do either: sing it slower, because otherwise I fail or I sing "Patte - he - he - he - hern" instead. Well, that second option sounds almost exactly as in the original, but I feel, it isn't the same. So, please somebody tell me whether I am right or not. Thanks!
