Understanding the last-minute settlement in Dominion’s defamation suit against Fox News

Fox News agreed to pay close to $800 million dollars to settle the defamation suit brought against them by Dominion Voting System over claims that the network knowingly and repeatedly spread lies about the company’s voting machines and the 2020 presidential election. Dominion was able to present more evidence than virtually any other media defamation case, but ultimately, Fox News so far has not had to publicly apologize or admit knowingly lying to its viewers. Daniel E. Rauch, a lecturer at Harvard Law School, and Elahe Izadi, a media reporter and podcast host at the Washington Post, joined Sue to discuss what this settlement means for Fox, Dominion and the media landscape moving forward.

I liked the dominion emails on page 15 of the Fox filing admitting that their system was hacked and there are so many bugs it led to incorrect results.
