With this Tyler Perry movie "Acrimony", the easiest conclusion to make is that the man was victim to the woman's anger, rage, spite, bitterness and her insatiable appetite for revenge. And to this I would agree but, I'd also propose you ask yourself why she was this way. Surely she wasn't born this way and she most certainly wasn't this way when they first met. So, granted, she was all of these ugly things, but what created this monster?

The man had a dream and knew his dream would free her from regular life and he loved her and his dream was for THEM……never did he tell her it was about someone else…..she invested and left when she couldn’t believe any more……it happens to people all the time….he still set her up so she would never have to work again and gave her her moms house back……when you give up on someone you have to OWN that

The question is did we see anything that would suggest he actually loved her? I understand having a dream, but he didn't have any consideration for what she needed. All he did from the very beginning was "take". He wasn't in the best financial situation but let's be honest, there were a lot of other ways he could have shown some effort in the relationship. Just compare how he treated the second relationship to the first.

@@kibtv451 yes we did and it was his unwavering fight for the battery, the fact he took the job from the sisters after the pure emasculation ( which she didn’t say anything to defend him ) , he also had jobs but never gave up on his dream, and then the more than generous offering after the battery hit when the truth of her resentment and hatred for him actually came out! No one can fault her for being upset, hurt, and disappointed but to express it the why she did was in humane then on top she called herself the devil. Her hatred disguised as love is pure disgusting and it blinded her to believe shit w/o even communicating! You consistently tell someone it’s ok if it’s not her passive behavior is what caused her resentment. The growth of her hate was expressed in the scene were she said she’d wake up and he’d be sleeping she admitted she’s get angrier each day but harbored it. But let’s talk about how she never really believed in his dream she just was fronting the whole time she never viewed it as them she viewed as he’s doing his own thing. She grossly misrepresented so much in therapy while ripping the therapist to pieces for even mentioning his feelings at all. True love doesn’t keep score and damn sure doesn’t hide issues

@@94ftoflogic_idr14 she was far from perfect her Malinda made many mistakes but she didn’t see the battery as them after a while bc he didn’t make an us the whole marriage. She did believe in him at first but he wasn’t pouring anything into the relationship so you begin to feel alone. She didn’t leave bc she didn’t believe in his dream she left bc she was tired of doing it all alone and when she thought he cheated she lost her damn mind. But I blame him for some of that bc he should have told his wife he needed to meet with the woman and should have had his wife there to make her more comfortable. He created that lack of trust by hiding shit from her and not communicating. They should have been in therapy but he knew how crazy his wife was so that was stupid.

He was somewhat wrong for not considering her however he fought for his dream. He was very manipulative though. But I have to say that she was wrong at the end physical violence is never the answer

Also not to mention her sisters was in her head specially the oldest one. People may argue that he was wrong for giving the new wife when he was going to give her but he's not going to stop his dream just because she left. Is like she helped him get all way to the finish line then left. But again I also have to take into consideration the mental trauma that he caused. Not loving on her, avoiding her, making her work two jobs to support both of them. That part always got me right there though . She was very supportive of him. He got her the house back and he gave her lots of money yes but that's not going to take away the emotional trauma he caused.

They were both at fault in a way.Did the man really love the woman from the word go or was he using her as a source of income to get him where he wanted to go.He cheated n she no longer cud be able to get kids coz of her anger wen she caught him cheating.The car she bought him was parked in d yard.She was not supposed marry that man coz as her sister sed he was showing all kinds of red flags.He is lucky she didn't set the whole caravan a light.D other woman just came when all the hard work was already done like just putting icing on the cake.
