The core issue is the values we communicate to the people (especially the youth), and that we uphold our values by example. Trump went to Japan and fed the fish with the Prime Minister and acted with perfect decorum and back here the news was he overfed the fish like a lout and basically put their lives at risk from overfeeding. How it started: They've constantly told us that he's Hitler, a threat to Democracy, he's a dictator, etc. Assassination attempt: Same leaders and media pundits that said he's a threat to Democracy and literal Hitler are now saying on record they're glad he wasn't assassinated and loosely rejecting political violence while the media goes out of it's way to gaslight and playdown their primary role in all of it. If they believe he's Hitler and threat to Democracy, there would be no well wishes etc but we all know it's about holding on to power and control.
