should mention that low fatigue not only lowers your carry capacity but it also makes tasks such as climbing a rope or even walking on any sloped terrain, very dangerous and likely to cause sprains, torn clothing, or even broken limbs.

Brilliant stuff, sir. I've played TLD half a dozen times or so now and never knew about the scent meter or wind chill icon. And now I feel a bit silly. :) (If the Wintermute mjode taught me about that, then I just plain forgot by time I got to sandbox survival play) I think maybe because I've mostly played on the normal difficulty and spawned in places with lots of buildings to loot/live in, most of my gameplay revolves around inventory management. Gonna get stuck into the rest of your guides and then have a bash on 'Stalker' difficulty. This is the best survival game on PS4 by some margin, I feel. Thanks for your work.

Can I assume from the fact that you don't check them, that I have been wasting my time opening all the overhead visors in all the cars I've searched? :) Can't recall ever finding anything behind one now I think about it. haha. Also, I'm sure you already know this, so please don't think I'm trying to be a know it all, as I know very little, but when you were in the whale processing plant in the lets play I started watching, you went up the pipe and found the rifle, (which I had no idea you could do, so thanks a million for that) but you didn't pop outside the upstairs office and walk along the opposite catwalk to the frozen corpse that's there. I thought there was a tiny chance that you didn't know about him/her so thought I'd mention it just in case. That first episode helped me so much. I didn't know about Katies secluded corner, and finally got to own my first bow. I was having such a great run, I'd crafted a ton of arrow heads in preparation, and (again because of your video) found my first saplings to make shafts with, but alas on my way back to Hibernia?? (the whale plant) to cure them, got killed by a wolf when I couldn't get a rifle shot off in time. So frustrating, but also totally my own fault. I realise this is a ridiculously long message so I'll wrap it up by again thanking you for answering me, and for the top snout content. Absolutley fantastic channel for a fantastic game. It's on sale right now on PSN so hopefully more people will bite the bullet and give it a whirl. Cheers. Stay safe. . . and warm.

I probably forgot to go out the catwalk, although there's not always a lot of loot out there. Maybe a torch, a candy bar, and whatever might spawn in the corpse and on the backpack. I'm sorry you couldn't nail the nasty bag of fur in time, that's a rough hand to be dealt. But, that's the beauty of The Long Dark: Live and learn. I'm glad you are enjoying the videos and stay warm yourself! It's cold out there...

I've started playing again recently and now the UI is at the bottom left corner all the time. Is there an option to make it so it is only brought up with a keystroke? (I play PC) I don't want it on my screenshots especially. I caught an awesome sunrise from the cliffs on the Mountain Town entrance from Mystery Lake. Also is there a way to keep breath from showing up in screenshots?

It's in your options section. You can set the UI to contextual, always on, or always off. Always off means, it won't appear unless you press Tab, and Contextual means it won't show up, and only show which stats are low if they hit red. You can press f10 to save a HD screenshot to your desktop that contains no UI by default but I think it still has the breath so you'll just need to time it when you're not taking a breath.

Bottom right should be the sprain indicator. If it's there you're on a steep slope and could encounter sprains.

Moose are like impossible to kill with a revolver. Im not joking i shot one 7 times and it didnt die. I even reloaded that save several times to check if i just got unlucky but no that damn moose just wont die lmao

Clothing you wear has a mobility penalty. Some items have a larger penalty than others. Going completely naked will allow you to sprint the full bar, but you'll freeze. Wearing clothing keeps you warm, but incurs a mobility penalty. Every item contributes a different amount.

PlayStation controls L1 raidial and clock ( maybe needs? I don’t play with the needs situational ) R1 sprint Left stick walking Right stick is camera. X and [ ] are for the menus /\ opens the menu and if you’re in the menu you can use the /\ button to drop items. Tell me if I missed anythinng

What is the "save journal" thing about after you die?

If you write out your adventures and other events in the "general log" section of the journal where you can keep notes, you can choose to save it and keep the record you wrote of your survivor's journeys and perils.

Wish this was easier on ps4... it's also helpful to use if you have multiple bases... in order to document what items are there for later reference.

So since is supposed to be a survival experience is bullet drop and velocity on a weapon a thing in the game I started a few hours ago and trying to save ammo so if anyone could answer this thx

You'll only find "bullet drop" with the bow, as the arrow is a projectile and acts like such. The rifle utilizes hitscan, it is instantaneous.
