You make a lot of sense, doc. I had no idea until I became a nurse how many women have had hysterectomies, fibroids, endometriosis, and ovarian cysts. It's staggering. I fear it will only get worse as just about every female of child bearing age is on some kind of hormone manipulation birth control. My friends think I'm crazy for not being on some kind of contraceptive but I think everyone else is crazy for allowing manipulation of their natural hormones!

+Clairice Dale: It's got to be environmental and in the water or food because I got off of The Pill when I was 17 (on it from 15-17) because of the nausea and weight gain. I'm 43, no kids, no pregnancies and I have 3 fibroids. I love all fruits and veggies, allergic only to cashews and just recently found that out. I've also heard that relaxing/perming the hair can cause fibroids but I stopped perming a yr ago and my fibroids are growing. Ihave to admit that I have a sweet tooth, though. But my weight gain is on my back and in my tummy and boobs. I'm trying to hold out til menopause, hoping they will shrink and I can avoid meds or surgery but my periods are the worst! I swear I lose a pint of blood over my 7 day period. I personally think this is somebody's twisted idea of population control because even when one makes a conscious decision to not have children, a woman is even more likely to develop fibroids that block the possibility of pregnancy.

I’m also married to someone who majored in biology, minored in chemistry, and has a doctorate in an agricultural related field. I’m not afraid of my food. Money saving hint. Don’t pay extra for dairy products labeled “rBST free”. 1) it’s non reactive in humans, and 2) it’s been off the market in the USA for several years now.

I just discovered I have estrogen dominance after watching a david wolfe video and it suddenly clicked for me. I was forced to take hormone replacement therapy when I had blood cancer in order to save my life because it was the only thing that stopped my period and I was bleeding to death through my menstrual cycle when I had blood cancer. Since then I have never been the same and I finally know why. I am working on balancing my estrogen levels naturally, since I am blood cancer free now. Thank you for the video I hope now I can heal my body and stop all the symptoms I have been having. My body has been a mess since then

I feel like this has been the “missing piece” in finally getting the full picture of how to concur my health for a long time now. Diet & exercise have gotten me pretty far but there’s clearly so much more. Years and years of complaints to my pediatrician, OBGYNs, and PCP and none of them took seriously into looking into my hormone levels as they relate to my migraines or extreme PMS symptoms. So what if this video is 10 years old, THANK YOU Dr. Berg !

@@takeshawalbrook8798 hey there it doesn’t go away but your levels will stay pretty even. But my personal advice is get your mental health together, like find hobbies and things that make you happy. I noticed when am stressed it’s when my thyroid starts acting up badly. I would also advise a good eating habits if possible. My last advice is..if your thyroid is really bad, get on medication. I used Propylthiouracil and it worked great for me because I still wanted to have kids so I used it even when I was pregnant. I have not had much thyroid issues except my levels are off here and there, but I have learned my body enough to know what triggers it and when I am off.

For me this is by far the best information because I began with a hypothyroidism but learnt it was caused by too much estrogen, and stress poor diet in my 20s. Now 53 post endometriosis cysts depression mood swings full hysterectomy and 3 kids now all grown. I’m left with an up hill struggle of losing weight fatty liver hypothyroidism and using hrt gel dilemma. Not sleeping due to stress isn’t helping. Am sooo tired and overwhelmed exercise is now not manageable albeit I did a lot over the past 3 years losing 10 plus kilos from size 20 to 10/12. I can manage a few minutes of weights weekly combined with a sort of OMAD. Still reaching. Won’t stop. Keep on keeping on. Fallen off the wagon this weekend but I WILL GET BACK ON IT. AIMING FOR THE TOP. NOTHING WILL STOP ME. IVE NOTHING TO LOSE. ITS A FIGHT. I CAN DO THIS. And I will.

You’ve had the same things l had and had done to me. That hysterectomy we had stopped the bad cycle we were in. We’re in post menopause now and need to be eating a strict nutrititious diet, drink a lot of water for the rest of our lives now to feel awesome. You’re on the right track now….never forget it and move forward with life. Hope this helps.

Excellent information Dr. Berg! I have a question. I am 58 years old and have just had a period after a year of no period. Before that it had been six months. I definitely am an estrogenic body type. I have started incorporating intermittent fasting and a ketogenic diet. What should I be starting with to boost the function of my body overall?

Hello Dr. Berg. I want to know whether estrogen dominance affects LH levels. I have read an article on internet which said that high estrogen triggers pituitary gland to release more LH which creates an imbalance in LH to FSH ratio and ultimately leads to PCOS. Pls I want to have your advice on this. Dr. berg your videos are so informative and logical and the way you explain them is superb. Thank you so much. 😃
