Understanding Thyroid Function & How To Read Thyroid Labs

Well, I’m really screwed. Mine is 11.7. Triple failure. And then the thyroid peroxidase is 585 when it should be between zero and 34. My T3 and T4 are in the normal range. I just got some medicine, but I was told that it’s just replacing the active form, supposedly, that’s not getting through somehow. I don’t really understand it yet but I’m very concerned. I want to know why my body has done this. Not just put a Band-Aid on it by adding thyroid. I wanna know why am I pituitary is pumping out so much TSH. And I have a real problem with this whole autoimmune thing. I don’t think God made our bodies to attack itself. I think autoimmune is some thing new coming from the exogenous world and attacking our bodies. Anyway, I just found this out today, so I’m a little shellshocked by this new information. And of course my post menopausal body needs bio identical cells well. had to go to the doctor because I’m turning into a tub of lard and I just can’t stand it anymore and that’s me being careful with food and working out.

Autoimmunity is complex and the result of a perfect storm of many things gone off the rails - there are 80 or so known autoimmune diseases!

@@naturalathleteclinic that’s why I can’t understand this. I have been vigilant about my health and nutrition. In fact, one would say I might be obsessing. I was taking nascent iodine, but now I’ve stopped, because I’ve heard you shouldn’t take it if you have Hashimoto’s. So that I don’t understand. Seems like you wouldn’t even more. And that’s just one of the many things. Anyway, I know you don’t have the ability to comment over and over again.
