TSW - Topical Steroid Withdrawal

Күн бұрын

This video is on 'Phases of wound healing'. With the help of this information we can understand better why triggers cause a delay in the healing rate of TSW. Also, it can help us to better observe and understand our skin. 😊🌟
Please support this channel if you can. 💙 It's a really big project to transfer all the knowledge and experience of Jay, making new material and helping people in the TSW community by answering all their questions. I'm spending 4 or 5 hours on this project daily at the moment. I love to do it! 😊💛 but also life is continuing 😆 which means I need to be able to eat, sleep and pay bills. With a small or bigger donation, I can keep on working and learning and making new videos.

Thanks for all your hard work, Your videos have been hugely helpful. I’m about to reach 6 months TSW and have seen remarkable healing rates. I went from full body flares/cracked/flaking/ oozing skin to phase 4 remodeling within 3 months. I no longer flake (only small amounts of skin dust) and my skin feels like it’s at 70%. The biggest factors to my improvement have been massive lifestyle changes - I moved from NYC to Hong Kong (on long term medical leave), I eat clean to heal my leaky gut(primarily fruits/veggies/supplements ,no dairy, gluten, eggs), limited exposure to irritants (cleans sheets everyday, vacuum excess dust everyday), support from family/friends, exercise daily, lowered stress and more sleep. My main problems points are my wrists and feet. They are currently in a vicious cycle that’s hard to break. My body is still dark red all over and itchy but at least my skin is strong and healthy enough to not break. My eyebrows are also slowly coming back! I’ve been in this phase for about a month - hoping to make a breakthrough in month 7 with some signs of my skin slowly changing colors. Goal is to reach 80% in month 8 🤞🏼

Thanks for letting me know that the videos have been helpful for your healing process 🙏🌟 very appreciated 😊 . It sounds like you are doing very well with a good healing rate. Doing the right things for your body to be in a good healing state and avoiding irritants, stress, alcohol, not enough sleep and so on. 💪👍🏼 well done ! And keep going 😊🌟

Thanks for your contribution. I am 7 months tsw. Skin is getting back to normal but still have some problem areas. Lately I have been breaking out in hives and it is bothering my sleep. May I ask if you have hives as well and what you do to overcome it?

Hi ! 👋 I'm sorry you have to go through this.... to answer your question: no I never had hyves. In general, hyves is triggered by an allergen. But for a good assessment of your skin, you will have to see someone who is qualified. I hope your recovery is going well otherwise. Keep going ! Good luck with everything 🌟💪

Does all tsw result in skin shedding and flaking ❤

Hi, yes all TSW skin has flaking, although in light cases of TSW this is invisible flaking, which can be felt by touch (rough skin) but these flakes are very small.

@TSW.healing ahh right... topical steroids have been placed on my skin for 50 years. I stopped using them in January this year. I felt the burning and stinging sensations, but given I have brown skin, I went darker rather than red. I've been doing no moisture for several weeks, and my skin went very dry and a little rough and scabbie in parts, but the burning has stopped. My skin has also started to moisturise itself in parts. This invisible shedding is new to me, and so I'm wondering if you would do a video on this, please, to help me and others further understand. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge it is invaluable x

You can test this yourself. Be very careful and mindful about it. Just start with a couple of minutes and see how the skin reacts. Then check it out with 3 minutes and so on. And never go over 20 minutes. That's a healthy guideline for everybody I think. ;)
