Thank you for the video. One important point is missing: Daily exercises are important for obtaining full and swift recovery, at least according to Danish health authorities. Thus is an important point to emphasize, because it is more convenient for the patient to relax and not be physically active in order to avoid dizziness and nausea.

What are the exercises that the Danish authorities recommend? Anything different to moving the head left and right and up and down? Thanks.

This is so true! It is easy just to go in a recliner and just evaporate. It is hard to muscle through this condition. Every waking second is an effort.

This is exactly what I am going through now, day 4 after. I am doing some exercises as recommended in several other KZbin videos about this topic. I am recovering day by day. My wife had the same some 10 years ago. After 3+ days she was ok again. Thanks for the video.

@@OneDawkinsFan I'm trying so hard. Even my vestibular therapist said I have one of the most severe cases she's treated. It's so tough to keep a good attitude and keep my head up.

I am still being investigated for this but have had tinnitus for about 7 or 8 years after a tooth abscess. I've had random vertigo episodes that last a couple of hours in the past but nothing as severe as I had recently. I had no viral infection whatsoever before the onset, although I have been left with a gum boil after a major gum infection four months ago. The vertigo came on suddenly three weeks ago when I turned quickly in bed and the vertigo was severe and I got very sick. I still have it but don't feel sick now but it is unlike the previous episodes of vertigo that lasted a couple of hours with no sickness. It's like constant camera shake when I walk.

Sounds familiar :( I liken my condition to a snowglobe where the 'flakes' fly around when disturbed and then land on the 'scene' at the bottom of the globe. These 'scene' pieces are like the vestibular nerve sensors (in the utricle, saccule and canals). When I move around, it's like the flakes hit these nerve sensors randomly and I feel dizzy and unbalanced. If I sit, everything settles I I don't feel dizzy. But as soon as I move, everything get's stirred up again.

No one wants to scream that doctor's medical people have no idea how extreme this is? People act like that is just dizzy. Way wrong. This is a horrific torture to live through around people who have no idea what they are talking about. I am never grounded. Like a hot air balloon unable to have😢 to both feet on the ground. No one gets it. Never feeling safe. Sounds, smells, lights anything can make your brain unbalanced and unable to steady yourself. Prayers.

Man, as someone living in the border of Fatty Liver Disease, I honestly thought I was experiencing mild symptoms related to Liver Failure (random bouts of the spins, nausea, poor sleep) Chewing my food today I heard a weird mushing sound in my right ear. Using a small camera, noticed my inner ear has a gaping HOLE in the membrane 🫤 I feel stupid, but at least now I don’t think I’m dying. I’ve got severe nausea, but thankfully havnt been throwing up. I do feel aweful, but glad I know what to tell my doctor(s) when I see them in two weeks…
