What a man should do with women is hold himself to a standard and maintain it. From the beginning if she has male “friends” or does anything else I do not like, I will never take her seriously. If you are social and a fair amount of your social life centers around bars and the like, it will make it that much harder to either prevent and an affair or survive one. Its just too easy to get involved with another person who will listen to your problems and then your marriage goes downhill. Marrying a woman who is the life of the party or vica versa is a red flag too. Getting involved with a divorced woman or vica versa is a big red flag. They already have gone through the trauma once and are dulled to its consequences and the divorce stats bear this out. And on and on. Choose wisely

Id say thats a close idea. I don't think they're worried about being "alone" - she has clearly demonstrated an ability to be with someone, whether she should be with that person or not. It most times boils down to something in basic terms, resources. Being alone isn't an issue if she demonstrates to herself she can be with someone, anyone. But she doesn't want to lose the house she returns to, the one that covers the bills, the one that makes sure she has food, all without the expectation of putting out for it.

That was interesting. The truth is that when a person has an affair, it's there choice. As in one of the comments I was in the same marriage and didn't have an affair that's correct. My own personal experience was my wife had an affair that I found out about then sixteen years later, she came to me with the news that it wasn't just one affair. How is a person supposed to react to that. She told me that it was long time ago and she let go and couldn't understand why It took me back to when I first heard of her affair that was found out. The bottom line is that there is red flags when you first meet someone, and a person needs to set a side love and recognize that is the person they are.
