Minutes of the Session: 1. Read book along-with notes simultaneously. 2. Update notes- add info that seems important for your own understanding; has to be done as you go! 3. Chapters are ascribed importance according to the no. of tick marks they bear 1- not so important but need to read for conceptual clarity 2- very important 3- extremely important (mug up the facts) 4. Do PYQs theme-wise 5. Give 2 mocks each for phase-1 and phase-2; analyse and make notes 6. Complete Spectrum along with updation of notes in phase-1 so that you don’t have to read the book again and again. Instead you can revise notes multiple times. 7. Work hard!!

MH as a subject is vast so has to be done strategically. 1. Reading and short notes revision + addition to them as per our understanding has to be done alongside. 2. What I got to learn from this video: 1. A clear distinction between what's important and what's not. 2. Dos and don'ts 3. read it in one go, and compress it into around 100 pages, combining the provided short notes, and the self notes. 4. pyq, always an important thing to give direction to the preparation. Another thing I would say , it made things very clear, the clutter is nowhere to be seen now. I'm mentally relieved and feeling much confident. Like it's said, "Well begun is half done." So just watching the video felt like I am half way through this subject. The excessive pressure has instantly vanished! Thanks for such a video and such initiative. My self confidence is boosted after watching this video. In every guidance video people used to say to not prepare notes from spectrum book as it is already in notes form, but noone was ready to admit its a lengthy read and its obviously not possible to revise the book in one go before exams. This dilemma stuck with me for the past year of preparing short notes for modern. Decreasing trend of the question but can't skip.Then read the spectrum and parallely mark and write things for understanding in the short notes so it will become single point source of modern history. Key points: - Less Questions are asked from modern history. - Doesn't mean it can be skipped over, has to be done judiciously, not obsessively. - Then marked important chapters for the exam + the chapters which are necessary for the conceptual clarity - Shared the strategy, using the 60 pages PDF aligning it with the reading of spectrum and adding to it if necessary. - Then using the pdf for revision as spectrum is too large and cannot be revised without 4-5 days time. - converting 1000 pages book in 100 pages notes for easy revision. - Last, a couple of announcements. Understood that spectrum is the only book we need to refer to-integrate extra points if any to the given SNs and be done w consolidated modern hist notes and revise only them again and again. Then do what we have been doing with every subject-the golden rules of doing pyqs of it(theme wise-vv imp) followed by mocks and their notes after attempting(v imp too). And finally WORK HARD!!!!! From this video, I understood that Modern India is a lengthy, bulky subject with a declining weightage (with chances of rising again). So, it becomes very important to focus on repeating themes & chapters, shorten down a 1000 page book into 100 pages for revision and most importantly, not get obsessed over it. Solving 3/5 questions from Modern is good enough. Will be working very hard over the next week to complete Modern History ! Thank you, Satyam sir & US team for all that you are doing already, the PDF will just be a cherry on top.

Crux of this Video : 1. Finish it in one go. 2. Give your energy to High Yielding Areas ( HYA's) mentioned in the video by Satyam Sir. 3. Read your Spectrum along with the short notes that will be provided as it is a bulky book to revise all over 4. The book has to be READ, you cannot skip even single tick chapters. 5. You have to reduce 1000 pages into a mere 100 pages for effective revision and for that you need to work hard. 6. YOU HAVE TO WORK HARD, WITHOUT FAIL 💪 Jai Hind and Satyam Sir ko Pranaam 🙏

Good afternoon sir! As thoroughly explained by you.. Firstly, Trend analysis of upsc (on average 5Q ). High yielding Areas as from pyqs and pdf sent by you. Secondly, We can make our own short notes after/while reading Spectrum by either integrating with the notes provided by you or doing additions in the short notes provided by you. Thirdly and most importantly We will also be provided pyq notes of History (AMACM) (for which I am extremely grateful to you) And thrn We will also have 4 tests in 2 phases. Thank you sir for your guidance ! Will ensure that I follow it by heart!

What I understood ~ 1. themes, concepts and trend of questions asked in modern history is also important alongwith learning facts and dates 2. Spectrum needs to be done once holistically 3. Linking chapters I absolutely need the short notes and pyq notes as it would save a lot of prep time and as you said about the team who prepared them being so professional and experienced, it would be really helpful for me and 2024 being my first attempt. My understanding. No need to read the huge book corner to corner. Focus on the high yielding part. Start from Unit 2 Take a printout of the short note with you while reading the book First read the short note, then go to the book and your eyes will find the important words, years, names ete. If you feel anything important, mention it in the short note. Then, cover I topie and start recalling what all you have read in the book or from the short note at that time. Whatever you remember, try to jot down in a rough paper in any preferred language. Speak as if you are teaching someone Cut the elephant and eat it in pieces. LETS DO IT NOW!!
