I've noticed that once an AI gets an idea, they won't let go. I've had that playing around with chatGPT, I once asked it to make like a really complex, overly long paragraph. it started the first response with "prepare thyself", and every response after that also started with "prepare thyself". asgore's probably like that.

I think the AI used might specifically be an autoencoder trained on Twitter. To clarify, an autoencoder is an AI which is trained specifically for the purpose of lossy compression. If you give it a Tweet, it will extract the "Tweet essence" of it and condense it into a couple hundred bits of information which it can use to approximately reconstruct the original Tweet. However, it isn't trained on anything else. If you give it something that isn't a Tweet, it will still attempt to extract the same kind of "Tweet essence". So the reconstructed text will become what the AI believes to be the closest Tweet possible. As Undertale isn't Twitter, this will be quite far away.

Also this is the first time I've ever seen Shayy do a full playthrough, Twitch never works for me for some reason so I can't watch the streams and some of the other playthroughs uploaded on the channel are intimidatingly long.

Yeah, I’ve seen a couple things taking about how the AI just does this when set loose on the Internet as a training source. Don’t quote me on this, but assuming it’s a predictive language model (guessing what’s most likely to come next based on previous text) it could be that as soon as anything vaguely political comes up it looks at its source (the Internet) and sees “oh, when politics come up, it escalates a lot of the time!” So it escalates, and then it gets itself in a feedback loop where it teaches itself to escalate more and more It could also be that the creator ran the AI a few times and chose the wildest
