Okay, so I think I know what's going on here. So evil Chara (well, evil-er) is a carryover from a previous Genocide run trying to make good on Frisk's promise to let them possess Frisk's body after a Pacifist run. Good Chara (good being relative here) is the Chara from the current Pacifist run who was influenced by Frisk's good nature and closure with their brother Asriel to not be such a omnicidal demon-child, though still a little face-stabby. Basically, while Frisk retains fore-knowledge of each reset, Chara is wiped clean. Hence why even a Post-Genocide Pacifist run still has the 'Despite everything, It's still you' line in New Home. Each new timeline creates a new Chara, it's just that the Chara from the previous Genocide run was a little too stubborn to be erased with the rest of their timeline, effectively creating a timeline with two Charas. One who wants to possess Frisk and kill everyone and everything, and one who wants to protect Frisk because of everything they've done for them. Even if that protection is a little... violent. But hey, that's just part of Chara's charm.

+Flowey The Flower well technically in the genocide route the soul is given to Chara meaning they are stuck with you forever, if you do a true reset and do a pacifist the Chara at the start of the game would be there as we'll, you know the one that isn't completely evil, essentially one is genocide and the other is post-genocide pacifist, I think?

I am so sick of seeing people putting all of the blame on Chara, when no one forced them to commit genocide. You the player acted with selfish reasons, and Chara is the one who makes sure you pay for what you did. You are not above the consequences, you used innocent people as toys in your game, and Chara takes over at the end because after you revived them with your DETERMINATION at the beginning of the game, you made them watch you kill everyone they had ever loved, you made them think that power was the purpose of their reincarnation, you made Chara into the demon.

bunny pumpkin14111 There are 2 Chara's right? That is the one that made me confused. The good Chara that Frisk had called for must have been in a different timeline, suddenly that Chara found a wormhole (like how Gaster fell between time and space) my guess is that the good Chara fell just like Gaster and landed in a world that Frisk had befriended the good Chara.
