+Takeshi Hanataro Chara is always with you from the beginning of the game. Just like Flowey follows Frisk wherever they go, Chara is always on Frisk's back. Chara is, in fact, "the sins crawling on your back". So everytime you die, whatever timeline it may be - Chara takes your soul just as you die and resets because he/she has a plan for you. Think about. Everytime it says "game over" it really IS game over for Frisk. There is no DETERMINATION left (your SOUL doesn't refuse), so you die and Chara absorbs your soul. And Frisk is dead how could they reset? -They can't! Someone else resets the game and says motivational words to Frisk after they die. Who? -CHARA. Why? Because Chara has other plans for Frisk. So who is Chara, you may want to ask? Well... during the game Chara is YOU, the player. YOU decide whether you want reset the world or not. YOU decide if you want to control Frisk into killing monsters he/she loves or if you just watch them be the nice kids they are. At least until the sins on your back completely poison your soul and you start to lose control ;)

This makes me consider the idea that Chara is with Frisk the whole time and as Frisk continues to be kind to the monsters, Chara also grows and changes along with them. Chara is the little voice that explains things to Frisk when they encounter certain things like the "it's you!" dialogue in the beginning and the "despite everything, it's still you" at the end with the mirror. It just hits so good especially here.

This is the best Chara boss fight I have ever seen! Not because of the music, not because of that awesome slash sprite animation, but because this really has meaning into it. It's not that Chara is a demon, or that you have to save Chara because they are a murderer and they did bad things that are not canon and totally found a portal to the real world and took control over the frikin player...wow that was long...This is still a save Chara but It's not the "Save Chara from their evil, they could still change" thing, It's a "Save Chara from the mental breakdowns of seeing her family be killed by this genocidal maniac more than a thousand times" Thing. I LOVE this and I will tell all my friends who thinks Chara is just that plain demon who made you press the fight button. Nope. The player does, because they are curious of what happens when they do. Sans is kinda right, we do it not because we want to, It's because we can do it. If we can do it, we HAVE to do it...

Chara doesn't seem to regret about losing family in genocide endings. Moreover: in soulless pacifist ending she uses Frisk's body to kill every member of the family. A notable detail: she appear to be quite a demonical figure when she acts out (laugh in soulless pacifist ending, frenzy in case of refusal to rebuild the world). And if you'll notice the history of Undertale world you'll know that Chara got obsessed with idea of destroying the human world (they screwed up their plan due to Asriel's unexpected refusal so Chara's soul was lost like Asriel's (who turned into evil flower maniac as the result)). Gosh, she even said: "ATK. DEF. HP. XP. Gold. Every time any of these stats grow... that feeling... it's me". I can only propose that Chara is evil. You have to be better than her or you'll end up as her trophy. And if she doesn't appear in true pacifist ending - okay. After all, Asriel is trapped in flower body although it's damn hard to blame him for this shit; why should we help some ruthless demonic psychopath first (not to mention she was far not saint from the beginning and was behind all this)?

(1) 4:55 (18) 4:59 (7) 8:04 (6) 8:30 (4) 8:48 (16) 9:07 [9:49 "I have thrown nearly every SOUL I have at you."] (6) 9:57 (3) 10:20 (4) 10:43 (44) 10:47* *With the video at 1280*720 and 24fps, the spacing between each SOUL is estimated to be about 36px and the screen speed to scroll at about 17px/frame (this stays constant between the 14 frames where the first row of SOULs is visible) We can see the first 24 souls before they explode. Then, for the next 21 frames, the scrolling speed stays constant, giving room for about 10 rows (9.91=21*17/36) That frame is the last one where the 4 SOULs flicker on the top of the screen. the SOULs explode 16 frames after appearing and each (row of) explosion is separated by one frame, the explosions begin to fade 18 frames after the last flicker was shown, if we assume that Chara is efficient with the use of Frisk SOULs then only 44 souls would have been used. I love the way you display human attacks. They’re intense and quick and snappy. I like how you were able to explain why monsters were unable to dodge Frisk’s attacks yet still not die in one blow, and at the same time make them dodgable to add challenges and exitement and also explain how Sans was able to dodge them. From what I heard, sans isn't so hard when you memorize the patterns. Undynes fights might be harder because even if you memorize the attacks, they're so fast that you don't get a second to breath.

For those of ya'll wondering, here's an explanation. ***SPOILERS*** Chara is NOT evil. Since humans have trapped monsters underground, they have hated humanity for its bad reality (most likely relating to his/her family, school shootings, and anything that makes the world "terrible"). So they climbed Mt. Ebott and fell down into the Underground for a suicidal reason. To commit suicide. But they survived and Asriel brought them into his family. The plan they did with Asriel resulted them in dying. When Asriel died, Chara became a spirit. They couldn't find anything fun to do since they they don't have a soul. But when Frisk (YOU) does a Genocide route, Chara seems to *enjoy* it, as they say it when Frisk fights Monster Kid. *Looks like free EXP.* So they possess Frisk so they can kill monsters. But when Frisk finally kills Flowey, Chara realizes they have done the wrong thing. So they decide to erase the world so they can move on to the next world. But when Frisk refuses, they punish the player because it was THE PLAYER'S fault. Not Chara's. When Chara requires the player to give them their soul, they want it so they can regain their form and see Asriel again. I'm 100% sure this is accurate according to this world of ours and Undertale. [Edit: 8/12/2024] I love my theory skills so much but I've just gone with the fact that Chara is beyond redemption, they're evil. XD
