Things we know about Gaster: - He does not exist. - He is often known as "him". - He was the royal scientist long before Alphys. - He had unparalleled brilliance . - He has a connection to most FUN-related events. (Except the Sans one and the Alphys one) - He has a connection to a lot of "unused" content. - Room_Gaster (the dark, darker yet darker room) is the only unused room that doesn't trigger the error screens, meaning that it was supposed to be seen by people. - He could be omnipresent, or at least, observing the player. (as alluded by one of his followers) - He has "followers" of some kind that speak of him for him. - He was split apart across time and space. - This could allude to hints of his existence being spread throughout both Undertale and Deltarune. Pieces of him spread across the multiverse. - He designed the core. - He possibly designed the DT extraction machine. - He possibly designed the machine in Sans' workshop. - He is possibly linked to the Skelebros in some way (I don't even need to explain why). - He is or at one point was experimenting with Determination and the Dark World. - He is heavily involved within Deltarune's overall plot. - The arpeggio (as well as the leitmotif of his theme) seem to be consistently present in Deltarune's ost. Probably a deliberate design choice by Toby to make it feel like he is omnipresent. - He was affiliated with Deltarune long before Deltarune was even announced. He even foreshadowed Deltarune all the way back in 2015. - He is likely to be the one that contacted Jevil and Spamton and was the cause of their self-awareness. - He could be linked to Seam in some way. - He speaks to the player during the beginning of Deltarune, and during some parts of the game over sequence. - He assists you during Deltarune's "goner maker" sequence. Note that a different voice seems to interrupt him. - He is the mysterious entity that sometimes takes over Undertale's twitter. - In the twitter messages, he acknowledges that the player has been looking for him. The playerbase has indeed been looking for him for a long time. - He is very likely to be the one giving you the EGGs. - He possibly has a connection to the knight, since EGG in windings translates to 👈👆👆, which is a knight's movement pattern in chess. - He could be "the man that speaks in hands" mentioned by River Person (he quite literally speaks in hands when his texts is in windings), which could also allude to him being some sort of puppeteer, which appears to be a recurring theme in Deltarune. (River Person said specifically "the man" and not "the one". Since The Player isn't necessarily a man, River Person was not talking about you) - He *could* have contacted Chara at some point. (This is speculated due to unused Chara voice lines being added in the same update where a bunch of other Gaster-related things were added. Said voice lines allude to Chara agreeing to become _someone's_ loyal servant. Chara refers to The Player as "partner", so they are not talking to you. This is reinforced by the fact that most Gaster easter eggs are show to be canon despite many of them being unused in a way and the fact that both Chara and Gaster are very "meta"). - He is linked to the colour grey - He is probably the one that forced you into Kris' body. - While he is present both in the worlds of Deltarune and Undertale, he does not seem to be relevant to Undertale's plot in any way (which corresponds to Goner Kid's speech). - He is definitely the most self-aware character in both games. - He could be related to the "Everyman", a mysterious creature that appears in both Undertale and Deltarune. It respectively appears in all of Reaper Bird's (the amalgamate) attacks, in Jevil's ring a round attack, in Poppup's pop-up attack, in Queen's twitter attack and in the back alley of Kris' town as a graffiti. Gaster's loose connection with the True Lab and it appearing consistently during Deltarune despite being a seemingly unimportant character in Undertale (like Gaster is) could allude to this. - He has two companions of some kind. Remeber, if I wrote "could" or "maybe", it means that it's a possibility, not that it's absolutely certain. I'll update this as we get more hints about his existence. I'm actually hoping that he isn't the mystery man of which the fans decided was Gaster. I'd much rather have his appearance remain unknown. Why else would Toby be so insistent of blocking him from your view if we already know what he looks like anyway?

Wow! Nice thinking! Its like Sans remembers Gaster and how he is erased from time. I think Sans also has some level of determination, because determination has the power to change your fate and mess with timelines and stuff. I think that's why he has some knowledge of what Frisk does outside of the current timeline and maybe of Gaster. Sans having some level of determination may also kinda explain why he bleeds. Determination is high in humans right? Determination also can change you physically (Gasters strange melted like appearance)(the amalgamates)(transforming when you have enough human souls). I think Sans having a small amount of determination changed his physical properties and he bleeds now. Also notice how Undyne transforms. I think this is also because of determination. Undyne also kinda melts when she dies and looked like an amalgamate. She also had a shining eye. Sans also had a shining eye. Both were the left eye. Just something I noticed. It might be something to do with determination levels.

Probably a stretch but i have a theory that his "experiment" was the Deltarune Universe. He created this so monsters could happily live in the overworld. This would make sense because the goal of the scientist of the underground was to find a way to get out and restore peace. The "darkness" he's referring to may be the dark fountains spreading throughout the earth leading to the Dark Worlds

I also think that the "You two"part of Gasters speech in room 264 means that Sans and Papyrus. And if you talk to the shopkeeper About the town, she says that the skelebros just "appeared" one day. MAYBE just MAYBE Sans and Papyrus just "appeared" Because when Gaster Shattered across time and space small remnants of him remained. The skelebros COULD be those "Remnants". Sans also mentions that He "gave up trying to go back a long time ago" And "getting to the surface doesn't really appeal anymore" That could because he came from a different timeline. Gasters timeline. Also in true lab, some text appears to be all lowercase, like Sans's font. That could imply that since sans may be gaster, he could be working with alphys on his "experiment". Also also if you beat sans twice he will give you a key to his room. If you do in a secret place there you will find a lab with blueprints on the floor. Could these be blueprints for the strange machine in true lab? Regarding Room 264, Entry Number 17 is a missing lab entry in the True Lab during the True Pacifist Ending. While I haven't been big on the Undertale Story/Lore for years and years now, I believe the entry was originally going to be accessible to the player, as you'll notice in the video, the room does not cause a game crash like most rooms would.

Gaster is such an interesting character, simply due to the fact that a large majority of people either know about him or have seen fan art of him. Think about how many fan works involve gaster, and realise that he has had no real interactions at all, but the sheer mystery behind him is so dense and atmospheric, that you can practically taste the menace that exudes from just even brief mentions of him. And there have been heavy hints of his inclusion in deltarune. Which means that the rest of deltarune will be very, very, interesting.

Watching this is...unsettling, in a way. I can never watch this or any Gaster-related video without the sun. We have yet to find out what all this means, of course. I believe more will be unveiled in the future Deltarune chapters. It seems that Gaster shows up a lot more frequently in the first chapter alone; in music motifs, hidden files, and even a secret room that speaks about a "man" that you have already uncovered. We don't even know Gaster's purpose; is he good? Is he bad? Or is he just trying to obtain information? We don't know. No matter how many theories will pop up on the internet. In fact, out of all the Undertale and Deltarune theories that may appear, the ones that relate to Gaster are the most unstable. It also seems that the "Gaster followers" are from alternate timelines or, perhaps, have fallen into the CORE as well. They appear in Deltarune throughout the town, but they seem more...normal. They so far don't have any other signs of following anybody. "Goner Kid" is the one that stands out among them. I have a little theory of my own, actually. If you decide to not help Monster Kid and save him from falling, then he will start to slip. Undyne will immediately jump down and rescue him. Judging by the sound effects, I assume there is a river or lake below that is out of sight. Monster Kid then talks to Undyne, saying that she looks hurt and admiring her bravery even further. But the one line that has gotten me thinking is: "Yo, I thought I was a *goner,* haha..." This line leads me to believe that Goner Kid is from an alternate timeline where Undyne failed to save him. And, perhaps, something else happened that made his entire existence unknown. Maybe the unseen area where he fell down (a body of water) was connected to the CORE...? I don't know here, but it's still interesting to think about. If you've read my giant blocks of text and gotten this far, thanks for sticking around. I just decided to rant out of the blue. i have a theory on 14:00 that that room "Wing Ding Gaster" may be in is a void across time and space when in our eyes It's just a small room but in gasters eyes its an infinite void that helped him find the truth about undertale and once merg interacted with him he was finally free. Btw sans and gaster are the only ones who can teleport (apart from the gaster followers) so there may be a connection there. i dont think that's the case. Now we have a lot more information given Deltarune's demo chapter got released. I think a lot of people are ignoring this completly which is surprising to me, but since Gaster is definetly the one behind Deltarune's existance (the character creation, the way that the mysterious tweets were written, the music) we can conclude that the "sound test" in Undertale is LITERALLY a sound test made by Gaster, for Deltarune. When it comes to plain texts without any portraits, Undertale is very specific on implying who is saying this. AND there's only two people in the entire franchise as of now that have the ability to speak to US directly. Chara and Gaster. That's right, i think that it's Gaster who is talking to us directly in the sound test. look at the way he's phrasing the words. And the biggest clue is definetly the "be seeing you soon!" at the end of it. He's right, we finally "see" each other again in Deltarune. So in conclusion, i think Gaster's sound test is literally a sound test he made for Deltarune. And that all of these songs are very likely going to appear in that game. hell i'd argue ONE of them already appeared in it's full version (Gaster's theme, which would be both Another Him and Darkness Falls.) so only three more to go. He's testing out upcoming motif's.

10:13 actually all three of these guys you can meet across the game. The “I have a piece of him right here” guy is colored in earlier on at the spider bake sale before the muffet fight. And if u go back he’s STILL there. So he must have like a secret twin that kept being killed by Flowey so he lost his existence, this type of thing is revealed in the Asriel fight at the end of true pacifist. If a being with determination/resets kills a creature enough times across each reset then they slowly become more devoid and not existent across the fun values. Goner Kid is a perfect example of this. He’s a variant of Monster Kid. Flowey killed him SO many times that he literally only existed in ONE fun value! Just like Gaster who only appears in one secret room in one fun value!! Oh a fun value is basically a random value that gets assigned every reset to you from 1-100. To spice things up a lil bit every time you play. So there’s a 1 in a thousand chance you find Goner Kid or Gaster himself on your first play through, and it could get exponentially higher the more you play. Cool!

Just some insight on the Wingdings entry (Entry: 17). When the person states "Photon readings negative," this means that there is no light at all inside of whatever they are examining. Photons are basically light, but in particle form, so whatever experiment this scientist was running, it's almost as if they found or created a black hole.

@@shmeee3636 Yes but it's the only thing that would make sense if it put Gaster across time and space. He possibly overloaded the DT Extraction Machine in the True Lab and the overload of Determination caused Gaster to become unstable as monsters were not designed to handle Determination. Or at least not in that much strength. (i.e. Flowey, Asriel Dreemurr was capable of Determination enough to make Save Files and reload them). Toby Fox seemed to make the SOULs sorta like electric polarities. Monster SOULs being a "Negative" polarity and Human SOULs being a "Positive" polarity, whereas you cannot combine 2 Negative polarities or 2 Positive polarities. Asriel seemed to be able to absorb those SOULs because there was an even 6 from both sides, the 6 Human SOULs and the 6 Monster SOULs-- Sans, Papyrus, Undyne, Alphys, Asgore, and Toriel. The even polarities caused an equilibrium and Asriel was able to become a god essentially because the power was stable. Whereas Gaster may have tried to combine all those SOULs worth of Determination into one monster, maybe even himself, and this caused an unstable kind of saving and reloading loop. Which can probably best be explained logically as a Dark Hole.

Personally I love Gaster. He is the mysterious man, who nobody fully knows. He is a Mystery, spread out throughout space and time. We don’t even really know his true face. He is probably the most complex character of Undertale. I just love theorizing about him, knowing that I will never fully know the truth.

Perhaps Gaster was actually the one to begin the determination experiments, not Alphys. But when it went wrong it erased him and some of the fallen monsters from every timeline, thus leaving Alphys to retroactively having to have been the one to do the experiments. The amalgams were the monsters who got lower doses of determination, with the only evidence of this being a "glitch in the matrix" of entry number 17. We can see both the original entry by Gaster, as well as the one by Alphys meant to replace it, but somehow neither made it into existence.

I love how Gaster Follower #2 kind of predicts what happens to Alphys. He wonders if Alphys' life will come to an end because of something she created, just like Gaster. In some Neutral endings, this is exactly what happens in a sense. (It is heavily implied she commits suicide in some of these endings because of the guilt of hiding the Amalgates she created and not being able to tell the truth.)

If anyone out there is confused on the "Entry number 17", I'll give a brief explanation (I'm assuming all of you have completed true pacifist). In the true lab, if you look close enough, there are 21 entries in all. However, there's one missing, entry number 17. That room, "room_gaster", shows entry number 17. "This experiment seems" "Very" "Very" "Interesting" The "experiment" he was talking about was the one he fell into and shattered across time and space in.
