How the cloudy glasses and torn notebook help on this fight: The cloudy glasses and torn notebook usually give a boost to the duration of invincibility frames. In this fight, you don't have invincibility frames, but it does decrease how quicly sans' 'karma' effect depletes your health. Toby Fox has confirmed this is intended.

The glasses and notebook has no effect on sans. It’s basically the point of the fight, sans makes it unfair so basically no invincibility frames.

For sans gaster blaster ring I recommend using sea tea because the extra speed makes it much easier, at least for me Also the sea tea should be used during the break time so there is no consequences for using it It is worth it to lose one healing item for it at least for me

What’s funny was that was my tactic too. I would use that and the burnt pan since that gives you an extra 4 hp when healing. I would easily beat him with it. Sea Tea is so underrated in this game

Also, for fellow Switch users, I would recommend using either the joycon's d-pad if you don't have a pro controller, or, if you do have a pro controller, I would recommend mapping X to up and L and R to left and right, respectively. Only use one of these for when you have a blue soul and Sans won't slam you around. This really helped me when I tried him for the first time.

I just want to say thank you for making this amazing guide, the tips you gave really helped me both beat Sans without healing and beat the first phase without getting hit! This is definitely the best guide for the Sans fight out there, it has a lot of really obscure tips for the fight that I've only heard in a few other places. And there are even a couple tips I haven't heard anywhere else at all! The fact that this has only 17K views after over 3 whole years is an absolute crime, it deserves way more attention for being such a great guide.

I'm definitely not gonna try to do this no hit, but I do want to do a no heal run. I can already consistently do the first phase no heal, but then I always end up at 1 HP... Hopefully this video will help!

yea cloudy glasses are good for the sans fight as it slows the poison. (that is not very helpful for me tbh tho cuz i wait to get to 1HP then i use the butterscotch pie (which maxes HP out))

My version, get pie noodles and steak, then stack up on dog salad, glasses and notebook, and just practice, you do better on your first try of the day, for the blaster circle stay close to the center
