There is a weird illusion going on in this song. It happens many times, but the best example is shortly after 3:16: when you finish playing the high notes with only the left hand, you do a quick arpeggio with the right hand and immediately release the notes and launch your hand upwards. Meanwhile the arpeggio continues to sound, presumably because of the pedal. At the price moment your right hand touches the keyboard again, I hear another note on the right hand, much softer than the arpeggio notes, but your right-hand fingers are not playing anything! Interestingly, if I slow down the video to 0.25x, the effect disappears: I hear just the left-hand chord you play when your hand comes back down, but no right-hand note. Odd aural illusion this one! My current hypothesis is that it's the "sound" of the pedal-held arpeggio being released that can sound like a short staccatto note. As if the now-absence of the sound is perceived as a new sound.
