You don’t fight him again till the end. Even if this was an idea, it would only work for neutral and pacifist. Genocide run can still happen with or without flowery, u can still kill everyone and chara would still exhist.

i remember back in 2015 when the game was released, i became obsessed. since i was younger though, i was deathly afraid of flowey’s laugh. it makes me laugh to look back on that, nowadays i have fallen so deep into the horror rabbit hole that it takes a lot to actually give me chills other than true crime, which i have to be in the right mental state for that. anyways, i bought undertale today and decided i’m going to replay it and relive the memories, and now that i’m older, i’ll hopefully enjoy the game and get everything out of it that the game offers. thank you for this short explanation of the lore, it’s a good refresher :)

The humans didn't just DECIDE to drive the monsters into the underground. It was because they were afraid the power that a monster WOULD gain if they were to absorb a human soul, which would be pretty easy for them to do as human souls can persist after death.

Frisk and chara's faces look very similar. I spot the difference by looking at their shirts. In kindergarten i was told to not spot the difference between others by looking at their shirts cuz they will wear other clothes and i will not know them... In undertale the kindergarten is wrong.

If I'm honest, I never understood why Undertale got the attention it did, I watched Jacksepticeye play it and whilst it seemed good, it didn't seem like it was good enough to be considered 'game of the year' I heard the story was amazing, I came to this video, and I gotta say, it's probably in my Top 10 favourite games of all time, alongside Super Paper Mario, L.O.Z Majora's Mask, and Mario & Luigi Bowsers Inside Story. As one of the seemingly few fans of Undertale who sees both humans as boys I have to say that it's really refreshing to hear some else say "he" when referring to either human. For anyone under the impression that either human has a confirmed gender or confirmed lack of, everyone in the game immediately refers to Frisk, Chara, as well as just about every other child character in the game as "they", not asking if they're a boy or girl or whatever, just immediately using "they". On top of that, Toby Fox himself hasn't confirmed anything, and misinterpreting lines of dialogue clearly referring to Toriel doesn't make Frisk/Chara canonicly female either, it just shows lack of attention. (And yes, I am talking about the "old lady" line from the No Mercy route) In short, since nothing is canon, aside from it being up for personal interpretation, nobody is right or wrong in terms of what gender either human is. This is one of my main problems with the fandom, (aside from the inevitable "creepy" side).

I'm not sure what you are asking, or if it has been answered in these five years, but when you are naming the fallen child, you are naming chara. The character you play as is frisk, and the character you named is chara. We only know that the real name is chara because the game says "The true name" when you type that in. Hope this clears that up.

Actually I killed nobody and ended up having to kill king asgore and fight omega flowey. Then I spared him and he told me to be nicer to alphys. So then I continued so I was sent directly before my asgore fight. I went back into hotlands and undyne called me asking to get a letter from her in snowdin and bring it to alphys. I did that and undyne and alphys had a date. Afterwards alphys let me into her true lab. I ventured through that and eventually found my way out. I took an elevator up to the barrier and instead of asgore starting to fight me my friends saved me. Flowey took all of the souls and became Asriel Dreemur. I fought him and spared him and he broke the barrier. My friends and I then went to the surface. THE END!

Pretty good but I believe Asriel's goal was not to break the barrier but rather to fulfill Chara's last wish to see the flowers from their home town one more time. The monsters that you meet in Asgore's home tell you that Asriel had the power to murder all humans, but he chose not to.

I'll go get the flowers." and in the next tape: "I don't like this plan anymore. I... I... ... no, I said... I said I'd never doubt you. Six, right? We just have to get six... With "six" referring to the number of additional souls needed to break the barrier Based on this (and Chara's apparent evil), it seems likely that Chara said he wanted to see the flowers as an excuse to get to the other side of the barrier.
