I read what the artist has drawn beyond the point where the video ends and it's...chilling to say the least. What I gathered is that Gaster seems to want to reset, but can't do it since he lacks determination. He found that Frisk had determination, and occupied their SOUL. WARNING! POTENTIAL SPOILERS! Gaster's plan is to wear Frisk down, both mentally and physically, to the point that he can completely take over their SOUL. Creepy, right?
