Well _this_ was not expected at all! And here I thought we’d just get trolled… seems the biggest troll of all was the one thing I’d never have guessed we’d see :D Not sure if this means the series proper is coming back, but to have a game based on one of my favorite sequences from the comic? That’s still pretty damn cool. And hey, having a playable sequence for the actual story might help alleviate some of the fandom misconceptions about this AU! That would definitely be a fun bonus, too ^_^ Whatever this means for the series as a whole, it’s good to see the cast return in some regard. Looking forward to giving this game a spin in the future :)

Just finished the game, and it's really good! Just a few things. It's very tough to tell the location of the moving platforms. The Koopa bro attacks move too fast, and disabling the jump at the end so you can't dodge onto the platform is sudden and confusing. I honestly don't know how to avoid their attack since I just had enough health to tank it. Jr. Koopa's magic moves a little too fast. Alongside the spikeballs, there was no way to avoid getting hit sometimes. And a few things about the Luigi fight anything green should probably flash when it's about to attack. The lines in the shock ball move, the targets for lightning, and the soul throwing bolts are all very difficult to predict. And the shell + lightning bolt attack is absurdly tight. Either fire fewer lightning bolts or make the shells smaller. These are all really small QOL gameplay things though. Other than that it's fantastic, and I'd love to see more! I had no idea there was a comic but have known about the music for a long time. Very very cool.

You can dodge the Koopa Bros.' attack by moving out of the way at the end. Still, it is weird that they disable the jump.

@@adventurousanimator9513 I think they should put an indicator you can't jump, you shouldn't be able to jump in that section or it takes away the tension of the koopa bro's special attack if you can just jump over it.

I mean I don't think converting a linear sprite comic to a complete game form is really gonna work, especially with how many choices in the comic that would have to be accounted for. It's the same case for why Inverted Fate can't be made into a full fan game either.

@@dendx3888 Maybe the ruins, but anything beyond that isn't really possible because of Undertoad being a linear comic, there is many choices made throughout the comic that all would have to be accounted for in the game, simple things like talking to kooper and getting his phone number, not talking to other characters that would join you later in the game, etc. I believe Undertoad will only have fangames based off certain chapters, like how Inverted Fate does it's fangames, can't have a full one because again, linear comic.
