Z if you didn't know the present Ink asks XGaster for is for Fresh. If you remember in one of the extra videos we see that Ink asked Fresh to watch over the doddle sphere and he promised Fresh a present. And yeah sans just doesn't care about anything anymore he's the lowest most depressed we've ever seen. What about next episode well I can't say much, all I will say is its going to be epic

Hey! The gift that xgaster gives to ink is for fresh (if you look in inks scarf, there's a present then an arrow pointing to fresh's glasses). Ink made a promise to fresh in underverse season 1 that he would show fresh the funniest thing in the multiverse if fresh protected xtale from intruders (like error)

The ending scene with sans just shows how depressed he is now after everything he has been through. Literally seeing the whole multiverse getting destroyed and he knows he can't do anything to stop xtale so there he has just completely given up

I suggest you read the dialogues in the fighting scenes again. XMufffet and XMettaton have a hidden dialogue behind what they’re saying. They both cry and scream they’re sorry but they can’t outcome XGaster and can only watch how he controls them.
