Just a little memo in case you haven't seen the announcements. From this episode, Underverse is going on a 1,5 year long hiatus due to Jakei intending to take a break from the series, since coming back to it would mean "falling to a cycle of emotional burnout" for her. She also mentioned focusing on her personal projects during that time. That means works on the next episode of UV will start somewhere in mid 2026 (Jakei herself predicts that as well, I'm 99% sure), and its upload will most likely be in the first half of 2027. *thanks for coming to my ted talk*

2027 is the actual release. Mid 2026 is when she starts PRODUCTION of the next. Early to mid 2027 will be the actual release.

Here's some clarification: Jael is taking a year and a half break. It's a misconception that this means the next episode is releasing mid 2026. However, that's when production STARTS, not when the episodes actually releases. The actual episode will release early to mid 2027.

My favorite character of the series is Ink i love his story and my favorite part this episode was the undyne fight. The creator of underverse is going on a brake for 1.5 years so we won't be seeing a new episode anytime soon, but they deserve a break.

about the ending song 24:41 this background is first 3 timelines of xtale. 25:15 this bg is the genocide timeline of xtale. (IV) 25:46 this one is 0.0 of underverse 26:10 this is 0.3 of underverse 26:23 and this is what we have now. also in the last part of the song you can hear the similarity to "closure" (xtale ending song) and i guess redemption (xchara theme)

In case anyone was worried no Frisk is not dead, just unconscious, XGaster only took an ability from them, what ability was we will probably never know since it was never mentioned beforehand, we just know it wasn’t their determination because XGaster has had access to determination before and thought it was underwhelming. Also this episode is the underverse definition of quality over quantity, or I guess whatever phrasing you could use to see it looks so visually good and story heavily keeps you interested even though it’s not as long as other episodes. Also new intro is fire, my favorite part is with Xtale Frisk standing in front of a red background, very curious about what the lyrics in the new intro mean

I agree with you about Frisk’s “power”. It’s also not determination because it was yellow colored, but determination was always colored red before. Still, we kind of have know what it is eventually. It seems too important to just.. never explain.

@ Do keep in mind in normal Undertale, unlike fan stuff, determination was never actually shown as red, other than the player’s soul, every time you see the word or an ability related to determination it is shown as yellow. We just know it’s not the ability XGaster took because he had it before and it was underwhelming for him so I don’t know why he would take it from classic Frisk if he already experienced it. But it’s true though it should be revealed at some point when the series continues,

@@JoekuRose I agree regarding your comment about determination, but I like Glitchtale's take more: Determination is the will to keep going, including resisting death. Every human has some amount of determination, but it differs depending on the soul and the red soul has the most. GT also has different take on souls in general: - There are six main soul traits which we know from Undertale, they are considered pure (100% concentration of one trait); - Impure is, for example, big percentage of bravery and small of other traits in one soul; - Grey soul: it's either the person hasn't figured their trait yet or they lost their magic due to internal conflict; - There can also be dual souls where it's 50/50 (biggest example is Amber from prequel with blue/green); - And hate isn't a trait: it amplifies your powers, making your trait inverted (for simplicity, justice-injustice). The inverted trait is a dull shade of original color; - Determination soul is the rarest and basically has all six main traits with same percentage in it. I just really like this souls concept

the fact that we will meet real canon gaster on deltarune before underverse ends XD but its interesting what jael is doing with gaster in underverse, looks like he is trying to help and stop Xgaster, we have seen how he mocks on Xgaster saying he will fail no matter what

This timeline (Undertale) is where Gaster is still in void (since is completely Canon not including fanon Gaster) So Gaster must want to help but he can't left the void

honestly-would be interesting if Undertale Chara ended up punishing X Gaster after all-they technically own the player/Frisk's soul; no? and with enough LV they can sorta start breaking rules, bypassing limits and powers and destroy everything basically- so it is possible that at the very, very last moment when X Gaster seems to win... Chara just casually wipes everything like a clean slate and now owns X Gaster's soul in exchange for bringing his world back or something like that
