Hey guys if you get my comment I wanted to tell you that sitting in the salon, it looks so uncomfortable I felt bad when you guys were watching a movie. You could go to a company that does custom work for boater homes if you have a few extra bucks and they could make a couch and coffee table, where the coffee table pushes down and then you put cushions on it and you will have a deep lounge area and if it was me I would make it out of corduroy Material because it’s so comfortable the large corduroy

I do a lot of ice diving... even with a dry suit I fill my gloves and boots with warm water before I place my hand or foot in. Try it next time, it helps tons with keeping dexterity in your fingers in the cold water. As many have stated, nice catch with those washers!

Attach a small piece of line to ratchet with a couple hitches and a sinch knot on the other side for your wrist so you don't lose the ratchet to Davy jones locker almost like those Washers.. Great catch btw

Great to see the some maintenance format videos now and again, you have the dexterity and skills plus an able deck hand to help cut costs and that combination makes you guys as owners more aware of what is bellow the waterline. There is also a not so shinny side of a boat that needs TLC now and again. "Tight lines and calm seas" from just up the coast in Sooke BC.

hey Shawn you're forgiven for scarfing down ice cream in Victoria. As a Dreamer, I get to enjoy Nordhavns that you guys pay for and maintain so if I win the lottery I'll know what's ahead for me. Right on Shawnster I mean "Aqua man" lol,Yeah I always thought there is no way to own a boat unless you can dive it on occasion, many times at anchor, it would really piss me off to lose a stainless Mantis!!... Plus just the sport of diving in general is very cool, another World!!!!......

Really enjoy your video’s. Not sure if the following would apply to a fiberglass boat but many tin boat owners in the northwest will install their zinc’s slightly “proud” of the hull so that the entire zinc is in contact with the water as opposed to having the zinc fitted into a rubber backing plate and then installed. Might be a good question for Nordhaven and/or your boatyard next time you pull the boat.

Try putting the air hose under your belt, makes it easier to haul around under water, also tie string to your tools so they’re not going to get lost in the water.

you would be better off with a ratchet with a head that did not swivel and a shorter extension. Make a small basket and stick it to the side of the boat with suckshon cups to catch what falls.Rob

Love your technical videos. You mentioned that you do this roughly quarterly. 2 Questions: #1 Did you scrub you entire hull underwater during this time or just close to the running gear and/or the zincs? #2 How long was spend doing this entire task? (Collecting items, suiting up, diving, and put away) I understand time varies based on how many zincs you would change. Curious when doing maintenance things, how long are you spending doing these tasks. Thank you for doing these videos!

The copper anti fouling paint, if not applied properly will actually increase bio-growth. If you want copper paint, research which is the best, then have one of their dealers apply it. Well worth the extra cost. Then if anything goes wrong, they have to redo it. You may have a fight between the dealer and the manufacturer as to who is going to pay for it.

The waters here average 45-55°F year round. Most divers here wear dry suits. (Cheapskates like me wear *very* thick wet suits.) For boat maintenance, where you're not going deep enough that water pressure compresses wet suit foam, a standard wet suit will keep you quite warm.

I used to dive our boat a lot to clean it, but only ever did it once in a Marina. Too many poorly wired boats to risk my life on their grounding. I would always do my dives out at an anchorage to be safe. You could cut the drums in the audio. Voice over or even nothing would be less of an annoyance.
