Really enjoy the detecting segments. Like you said, it's because you enjoy it. Just like hunting or fishing, it's the thrill of the hunt, the anticipation of "what's next" as well as knowing that had you not recovered it, the item would most likely have been lost forever. Thanks for sharing Mark.

As always, an interesting dive, Mark. Your find at 20:20 is the wire from an underwire bra. I wonder why there's just one and well...why? The boat gash at 23:27 also makes me wonder if it came from above, or below the waterline. Among your coin finds, the "Celtic Ring Money" at 24:14 is singular. OK, it's probably not, but it could save a trip to the hardware store sometime. Since you're down there filming anyway, would the marina buy the "visual inspection" footage? I think it was a good decision to tow the kayak. It's far easier to exit, than get back in with gear. Rock on.

I wonder if anyone on the surface saw the kayak traversing with no one in to paddle. Also, the crawdad condo under the log was a highlight for me. I had no idea the cooped up like that. I love it when you do Lake Tahoe dives. Lake Tahoe and Crater Lake in Oregon are, in my opinion, 2 of the most beautiful lakes in the U.S. And you found so many coins today! What fun. I really like your videos. I find the "underwater sounds" to be very relaxing along with the beauty of the places you visit. I look forward to and appreciate your sharing your adventures. @mokpot Thank you! This is my favorite cowgirl hat. However, I have managed to lose it somewhere. I had an Australian bush hat that I wore for years until I wore it out. hi mark , i think if i found a pair of px glasses under a dock i would just go strait up and set them on the dock and hope for the best (i wear glasses too).
@mokpot Жыл бұрын
This dock is transient, so it is unlikely the owners would be around. Also I prefer to not give away my presence under the dock, and… it is not low to the water it is difficult to throw anything with a hundred pounds of dive related gear strapped on. But mostly… it is wanting to be stealthy.

Look at that...a crayfish convention center!---I'm used to seeing a variety of finds when you search the Tahoe dock, but that location looked pretty sterile. Was that because you were under a marina? Responsible boaters, etc?

Or..... some one got there before me perhaps and scored all the loot...lol Responsible boaters🧐. perhaps. Honestly I think most of the things I find around docks are just accidental loss. Nice to hear from you

I have used a pin-pointer on dives before. A couple reasons why I don’t are, depth… I often exceed the rated depth for the pointers. Also, it is one more thing to tether to my gear, I really am maxed out with what I wore in the video.

I would like it if when you found old coins, you put the year in a comment and clad if it’s modern. People want to know what is found; sometimes even if it’s no big deal. Just a thought.
@mokpot Жыл бұрын
Hi, I do mention the Older coins I find... IF I find them, but I almost always mention the oldest coin I find in the roundup at the end of the video. Most of the time my eyes do not see well enough to make out the dates underwater, and to put them all in order and labeled on the video would take a lot of effort. Have you noticed change in the amount of underwater plant life since you started diving? I was wondering why it looked so barren. Thanks for the video. I always look forward to the reveal. If you have a pre-1960 dime, it could be quite valuable. I forget exactly what year they stopped making solid silver dimes, but it was in the 50s. 🇺🇲🦬🦅🐟🐢🤿⚖️⚔️
@mokpot Жыл бұрын
Hi Robyn, the last silver coins in the USA were in 1964, The last one I found in Tahoe was a couple years ago. But I have not done much detecting here. It looks barren because it is a high altitude mountain lake, often when you see plants it is invasive
