I had a hard time breaking in the oaks too, i first tried soaking them in hot water and massaging some no name hair conditioner, threw them in a spin cycle in the washer and tumbled them no heat in the dryer. Didn’t break in the way I wanted to so I tried massaging fabric softener, soaked and rinsed in hot water and air dried em It still didn’t break in the way I wanted to Recently, I tried using Pantene hair conditioner my wife uses on a different set of bags and they broke the bags in nicely and decided to try em on the oaks and now the oaks feel great, do it at your own risk though, the conditioner does change the fabric properties a little, maybe temporarily or permanently, the fabric feels softer and more slick I totally agree on the speeds, doesn’t exactly feel like a 7/9 according to the site at first but now with it broken in with the Pantene conditioner, I feel it runs true now lol, but might just be temporary as I believe it’s the conditioner that has made it slick

@@AverageAtBestCornhole definitely, I’ve been playing the oaks the last couple of days and will honestly say they’re awesome now, if you guys can break them in, should re-evaluate the scoring. The differences are night and day imo

Guys, the Oaks will break in to perfection if you use hair conditioner on both sides of the bags. Rub it into the material really well. Soak them for a half hour to 45 minutes on each side of the bags. Rinse them out with warm water, wash them thoroughly with dawn dish soap, rinse them out really well. then twist and stretch them really well. Throw them in the wash machine on cold or medium for a cycle, with no detergent. Throw them in the dryer on low or no heat for about an hour, then do one last twist and stretch on each bag, and they will be money. I guarantee it!!!

Oaks are a swag bag ruby clone. They need a breakdown chemical, I use vinegar but many use the flavor of the week from toss sauce. Best bags for outdoor games. I’m ordering a set of each of the herringbone sets now since herringbone bags just don’t last near as long.
