Should be 1-0 at end of 1st half, as the player the Rat Ogre blocked should have been prone on the ground from a failed dodge! Underworld would have had nobody to attempt to block so would have 100% gone for the TD.

Absolutely gutted to have missed this!! Really difficult to review a game that’s recorded and see something like that. At least it was still a fun game. Definitely learnt a thing or two.

they made so many mistakes... that's kind of sad, they played so bad for experienced players... Eta Ogre shouldn't have been casualty that block was inexistent and nonetheless the UW guy used the leader rr 2 times

The rogre has prehensile tail, so the ghoul dodge in turn 3 should have been a 4+. Prehensile tail is really a great skill for keeping dodgy players from reconsidering their dodges

Just curious about that Desperate Measure. My reading is that the reroll doesn't actually need to be used on that turnover. It's just once you get a turnover, you gain a team re roll. Have you seen any official clarification?

The ghoul should have been prone from its failed dodge roll, the rogre should not have even had the target for the bad blitz! I was shouting at the screen on this one! Specially as I had Underworld to win 2-1! Even then I can't believe Milton didn't run it in on turn 6, its not worth the risk! Gutted! Also could have stalled an extra turn with the gutter runner I think to make the equaliser much trickier. Still, great game to watch, tempting me to make an underworlds 7s team, got a little bit of everything!

Excellent bottom clenching game as always but i need to ask because i like the rule but one guy we play with refuses to use it because we can't find it written down, where is the rule about the ball scattering 1 square a d8 3 times on the way down from the kick off?

I love undead but my ghouls have anti dodge. Always fall dodge rolls and my opponent always pows them. I felt the pain

Last turn of the first half - Ghoul should not be standing, he has failed a dodge, thus no models should stand at the start of 6th turn of Milton. Huge swing there. Additionally Ratogre has Prehensile Tail, thus previous dodges from him had an additional -1.

I think the other clutch moment in this game (other than the fateful rogre blitz) was when Ben followed up with the zombie after blocking the first goblin. If he hadn't, then Milton would not have been able to free up the Rogre - and Ben may well have scored early!

I don't wish to be rude but, does Milton regularly play with any dash teams. I just felt he used his fast agile team and played into their weaknesses. The Gutter Runner is a great stretch player and sorry but a Skaven thrower is not just a ST3 dude with sure hands. (isn't he #one of the best passers in the game, Ben?) The ghouls are impressive in sevens but the rest of the undead team are meh, really. An enjoyable but messy game.

Good observation! I pretty much exclusively play bashy teams, orcs, chaos etc. the undead are as fast as it gets for me. The passing game is definitely my weakest play style. Looking to pick up some high elf games soon to switch it up and appreciate the throwing and high movement more. Absolutely gutted I missed the prehensile tail dodge, that being said if we played these games flawlessly I doubt they’d be half as entertaining for y’all to watch.

@@bigmekmilt I missed the Roger's 'other trait' too, annoying because I have recently started a Skaven team to complement my Elven Union team. By the way, High Elves strike me as a bit of a compromise, great passers, a bit of extra armour, but if you want the full passing experience they have nothing close to as good as the Elven Union Catcher. The best positional in BB20.

@@bigmekmilt only when they fall down. And the mistake many bash coaches make was illustrated in the game, DON'T BLOCK! Unless you have an advantage (Rogre) or absolutely must. Glory blocks, blocking to remove, out. They are all chances to die. Retreat, screen and dodge. When any square you get the ball in is a 'score that turn' threat territory isn't important. The d6 is your friend, the blocking dice your implacable foe. You really should have less than 24 rolls of those (both players) in a sevens game, under 12 if you are doing well. I played a league recently with my Elven Union team, I was the only dash team, 9 games, zero fatalities, I was lucky on a couple of occasions but they don't squish if they are looked after.

Sadly the games we recorded for this series were done before Ben worked out the shaky camera fix. There’s unfortunately a few more games with the shaky cam but the majority should be fine moving forward.

I hate being the person to say this but Milton made more than just the one poor decision in this game. Some of the positioning choices left a lot to be desired, and he definitely could have stalled a bit with the speed of the gutter runner to leave less opportunity for the equalizer. As a huge underworld player I'm a bit disappointed with the result because everything was there for a straightforward underworld victory and the opportunity just was not taken.

Yeah with hindsight I should have. The rationale was that Ben is damn good at the game and a tough opponent to beat. I wanted to thin his team for the next half especially as I he was hinging on those ghouls to do the leg work. As I said though, lessons learnt 😅
