Namari is currently hired by Tansu, meaning going with Laios would be in breach of contract. Even if Tansu gives the go-ahead, people seeing her go into the dungeon with his group, not return with them, and later return with Laios' would make people think she's unreliable and flip-floppy. It's only properly explained in some extras that the anime won't cover, but Namari is already combating a bad reputation, so people would interpret something like that very uncharitably.

As many have explained when you read Namaris backstory, it makes sense why she couldn’t abandon her goals for what seemed to be a suicide mission at that moment. . Also - Kiki and Kaka were found as kids by Mr and Mrs Tansu. That’s what they worry so much for them, they are their adopted kids. According to their bios they are loving parents to the twins. ❤

Imagine the rumor about Namari being an adventurer who do anything money spreading. Other employers would think that she can't be trusted bc they think she only cares about money. They think she might ditch them as soon as she saw someone offer the higher price, or she might leaves them death and steal all the money from them. Then, no one wouldn't want to hire her.

In the supplemental manga material, the author goes into Namari's past a little more in depth. Basically, her dad was a deadbeat who borrowed money and took off when it was time to pay, leaving Namari to shoulder the bill. Apparently, in dwarf society not paying your debts is seen as a huge dishonor, so she's basically been shunned by her own people and is working as an adventurer to try to earn some money.

making stews ang gruel is quite similar to the pop culture idea of brewing potions: take specific plants, herbs, flesh and bones of animals, and boil together for a certain period of time. If I could be a character in a fantasy world I would want to be an alchemist/potion brewing wizard/druid. Me and my introvert butt on my big plot of natural land, tending to gardens and orchards with several cats and a bunch of fluffy dogs, brewing magic in my cauldron.

Those are their names. 😅 but why would they be racist ? if kaka (according to romanjidesu) is the sound of laughter in japanese , and the word KA in hiragana means good or beautiful , so kaka can be translated as good-good. And Kiki, well there’s that ghibli movie called Kikis Delivery Serice, is a popular cute japanese name for girls. Both are actually good names.

@@DefinitivelyZach The dungeon meshi party lost ALL their stuff (except for whatever was on their person) when they got teleported out of the dungeon. This includes their money (as they didn't have any in the first episode). They quite literally cannot guarantee Namari a paycheck, so she wouldn't be making any money with them?

I don't know why, but the way you say undine as "un-dee-nay" sounds so incorrect to me. I've always heard it pronounced (by english speakers) as "un-DINE" (Dine as in Diner or Dining), but "un-deen" works too
