I know its a beta but the devs were the one to say they wanted to make the best boxing game ever right ? Great video! I wish you talk about the backstep cross which is the main punch for almost every competitive player and that really does not work as in real boxing. This one thing really kills the game for me as it makes it utterly boring and annoying to play.

I'd say it's been improved a bit. I only have a problem with it when it's used twice in a row. Aside from that it's a necessary move to push off your opponent and exit the pocket (in my opinion)

Thanks Cat, it's most definitely overused for offensive play, however mainly with OP fighters where the animations are sped up (Floyd Patterson). I use it alot myself, however I never double up.. And mainly play as realistic moving fighters like Bruno. With that being said.. Definitely a worthy future video. 🐱💪

My thoughts are still the same.. it's fun to pick up temporarily after an update with new mechanics and fighters, but soon after i always realize why I put it down in the first place. HUGE POTENTIAL. The new lunge mechanic is a big step in the right direction (pun intended). You're right about everything you've said. Oh an BTW what is up with the trait stats? Most fighters I saw in the heavyweight division have level 1 trait stat. 😂 Ali invented the "float like a butterfly sting like a bee", yet has only level 1 for this trait. I guess we have to bee 🐝 patient

Lol, I haven't explored the traits yet, but it just seems another thing prioritised because "possibly" they don't have the ability to work on the likes of Desync, cheating, and AI. It just seems every month, the update serves the purpose of keeping boosting interest whilst it's in the red, plus they're promoting discounts with most of the updates.. These aren't signs of a game confident of its future. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Yes Claimer, great video again. I literally played the game this morning after a couple months from playing it. Have to say that you are spot on with everything you said. I had high hopes that by now they would recognise that the priority focus be on the mechanics of the game before anything else. When i heard they had improvements with the online desync i thought great, lets test it out. After testing it out, i found it was phantom punch galore! I feel like the desync is worse! Also i noticed that there were a lot of punches i blocked that was counted as connected punches. There were rounds that i categorically won, no questions asked, and i lost. I also played someone that had chosen Canelo and he must have been using a hack that sped up his punches. He was literally spamming the left hook which is humanly impossible to do. There is no way in hell that you can throw 7 left hooks all at the same speed and power! I had to put the controller down and just accept that this game is so far off being complete! There isnt much progress being made with the game and it looks like i'll wait another month or so for the next ''Big Daddy update'!' and even then i dont have any great expectations! I feel like there is no one in the team that is giving real constructive criticism such as yourself. They should have have you on the team to be honest. They cant go wrong with that! But great videos bro! Loving the breakdown of fights! This should be your mainstay! Onto the next one!

Yes Stickii, hope all is well bro "I literally played the game this morning after a couple months" Same man, constantly going up against Floyd Patterson spam.. I ad to call it a day. This update has received a lot of praise on Reddit, and that's why i gave it a shot, yet It's essentially the same game, same problems.. not to mention I'm out of London, so I installed it on an older PC (still decent) and the game runs like absolute Dookie.. virtually unplayable on a 1060GTX above mid settings. "had chosen Canelo and he must have been using a hack" Apparently there's a new hack which reverses damage or something.. it's going around on Reddit, and SCI haven't mentioned a thing. "They should have have you on the team to be honest. " Appreciate that man, I'm pretty certain they're not keen on me (I've seen comments about me on Reddit which seem like SCI employees) I typically don't offer them good press, and that won't change unless they fix up. Truth be told, they tend to hire impressionable KZbinrs as "Communications" managers so they can control the narrative.. that's not my bag at all.. "Loving the breakdown of fights!" Yea this is probably the direction I'm gonna take, maybe branch into MMA too. those vids get good traction too.

I was so excited for this game, but a lot of the stuff that SCI has recently done has disappointed me. For example, when we look back at the old trailers, we are seeing stuff that we were tol we would get, but it seems like they are hoping we forgot about it. Not only that, but there were some gameplay elements featured in gameplay videos, but the game seems to have gone backwards, making me question whether that really early gameplay footage was even authentic. This, combined with the time between updates, and what exactly is being updated, has really killed the hype in my eyes.

The old trailers are worthy of studying for sure, I think there was one with Tyson Fury where the graphics rivalled Fight Night Champion, and there were additional fighting mechanics on display.. Most likely fully motion captured, which Is why they shouldn't be so offended when people label the game a scam. 🤷🏼‍♂️

@@ClaimerUncut Yes I know what you mean. For example, we had screenshots showing a more advanced damage system years ago. They had footage where the ref was in the ring too, seemingly working, but the ref was removed. I felt deceived, especially after in one of their roundtables, it felt like they implied they shouldn't be held accountable for what they said years ago, simply because it was years ago and the scope changed. Easy way to annoy your committed fanbase. So sad too, to see the content creators we had like Studdy for example, The CoachsCorner, etc, but now the hype is so low. I also remember the size of the roster being a key selling point, but the reality is, if most of the boxers are no-name guys while Hagler, Hearns, Duran, Foreman, Liston, etc, are not in the game, that is concerning. I would rather have a smaller number of notable fighters than many lesser known mediocre fighters.

It's so bizzare to me, how they measure the improvements of online connectivity and Desync without user feedback or Beta testing? To be frank I think they're full of garbage juice. Still when it does work.. Its a great game with all it's flaws.

thank you once more for laying bare all the issues so eloquently, sometimes it feels that the fixes only work 10% of the time and then game returns to it's broken ways. perhaps desync is to blame but it gets really hard to not uninstall the game when a level 2 player somehow is getting rounds handed to him almost never landing a punch besides a jab, just getting pieced up. or even better landing around 60-70% of punches just to see that game tracked 30% precision, feels like it doesn't matter what the input is. EA could slap current gen graphics and some new fighters on a FNR3 and deliver a better game.

Thanks Dan, it seems most issues could be due to desync, which leads me to question how after roughly 10 weeks since announcing the hiring of professionals to deal with online connection issues, the results appear to be worse. I also question how in the hell they're able to announce desync being improved without player feedback, unless they're facilitating Beta testing, although I highly doubt it.

The current update is a mess. It shipped with a bad AI bug which apparently is already fixed, but wasn't part of this update and that makes the AI super passive and not fun to fight with. The damage of the punches still, even after the recent very tiny, minute changes, is nowhere near high enough. There are some good things too in the update, but for now I just can't even play the game because the AI is worthless and online is not really my thing. Looks like the game goes back to the shelf for yet another month or two as we wait for the next patch.

@FightFanatico yea all this game did was light fire under the fight night team's ass which already has a good engine with ufc. I was comfort fooding this game but if ufc takes itself off rails with the vulnerability and fluidity, while relieving itself of the grappling burden they can whip up fight night champions plus as a side project. Once I understood that I realized that's game. The best they can do now is license the intellectual property of the semi rail design with a patent otherwise ufc has everything else. Shit the grappling isn't half bad as it is

I play mainly as Roy Jones Jr, 10-20% of my straight punches are thrown at random 45 degree angles either above my opponents head, or I will throw a rear hand straight to the head, and it goes at a 45 downward towards the body

Exactly. I just fought two fighters that hit me just with the one punch and I was in a DAZE like get the f*** out of here. I was dominating the scorecards but all of a sudden I get rocked with one punch even though I'm landing 400 punches and I cannot DAZE them go f*** yourself developers. I just find Bruno has the most realistic movement, plus it's rewarding when you get the win against an overpowered opponent. If you hold R1 and tap the left joystick up or down, you'll sidestep forward. ✊🏽

I struggle with a Ryzen 7, gtx 3060 to play Online. The game has a serious issue with fps when your opponent gets switched to host, which happens every 2 rounds. Outside of that, the fps is 40 to 60fps on highest settings, considering it's just a ring and boxers.. It should be much higher

Whatever "skeletal" system they are using needs to be loosened up in the hip area. There needs to be more rotation when punches are thrown. Current build of the game has the punches looking too stiff with no impact or savagery in them. Punches are "fluffy" for lack of a better word. I'm leaving this comment under every video I can in hopes to get the devs attention to fix the soft punches.

Great video, I think they developers of this game need to play UFC4. They punch effects are much better. I bought this game today after I heard of the recent updates. However the punches are not good enough feels like they cause no damage whatsoever ever. If it wasn't on steam I'd return it.

Hey thanks Godson ✊🏽 I recently purchased UFC 4 and to be honest, despite all of Undisputed's flaws. UFC 4 has some of the weirdest striking animations I've seen in a modern game lol.. It looks like stop motion animation from the 70s 🤷‍♂️ with that being said, Undisputed's definitely missing some pop from It's punches, I just hope they fix it so we have an alternative to EA overpriced console only games

But they claim to cater to boxing fans but boxing fans know porter is a stud and Gatti / ward aren't scrubs. This game makes for the sake of argument these 3 fighters aren't even competitive with people that have 20 fights. As I woman(I mean boxer) these icons are points of study and in the game they're treated like Butterbean (but he was nasty he fought Lennox)

Yup, Ive played more since this video. My experience is that it's worse than before.. Many have complained about not even being able to start an online match. These guys are losing money.. And sadly I envision the game becoming free to play (I have to lol) whilst Fight Night 5 dominates in early 2024.

I tried the lowest ranked fighters against the highest ranked fighters in each weight division in quick fight settings undisputed mode simulation normal time 3 min rounds 12 rounds and beat all the high ranked fighters and I’m average at this. Boring as hell without a career mode. Hope they fix the weak AI soon. Online still a waist of time with cheats. And idiots waiting the full minute between rounds making a 20 minute session into a 32 minute clown show

Waiting the full 60 seconds between rounds, really is a symptom shared with the players who run the whole fight or use cheats. They win by simply frustrating you and wasting your life as they reach their own. SCI could counter this by tracking how often a player doesn't skip rounds in a row.

I have to say.. the Instant Replay is highly disappointing. They've included a punch sound effect which will blow your ear drums, and it still doesn't look as good as Fight Night Champion

Yeah, for me personally.. Cheating is a major issue. Spending 25 mins per game whilst a cheater wastes your time, is the main reason I put the game to rest for so many months.

Punches look so slow and weak compared to real boxing especially welterweight onwards, damage is extremely low especially to the body, hit detection is bad, punch animations look half committed and this is looks worst with most fighters uppercuts and straights when thrown at close range, right hooks are slow, wonky and seem to be thrown at much less range compared to the left hook. Power shots are slow, weak and drain a decent chunk of stamina making them trash. Not enough blood/bruising/injuries and cuts, some comments on the discord said steel city wanted to make this game friendly for a large audience which makes no sense takes away the authenticity of boxing if true. The arm fatigue system is garbage just let players throw what they want but maybe make shots weaker over the duration of the match for people who spammed with that arm. Stamina isn't linked to move speed and running is too easy even when rocked. The easiest and most efficient play style on ranked is outboxing as its easiest to do and costs no stamina, the infighting system is awful as it just slows movement when 2 fighters are close together but circling out of danger is too easy and takes no stamina. Jabs and power jabs can't rock or drop someone which makes no sense as kovalev stopped yarde with a jab so if someones hurt or exhausted it should be possible. The punches generally look bad as the hips and lower body doesn't rotate so they look robotic this has been feedback for ages on the games discord. Theres no way this game can launch in a good state in 4/5 months on console at this development pace as clinching, headbutting, replays haven't been fully implemented yet and this is a whole other problem than the balance and poor animations/graphical flaws right now. Desync still trash even when playing with friends who live locally making online play frustrating weird design decisions on single player to as you can see the ais block meter. The adrenaline system sucks you can see when you rocked someone by looking at a GUI just make the fighters wobble and get off balance so you have to look out for it.

Yeah man, what's worse is each match is 28 minutes, so you're wasting your life playing against opponents who can't get hurt.. Etc. Fixing this should have been priority
