They literally just moved the game backwards. They completely fucked the scoring. As someone who is an ABC certified judge, NO ONE judges on accuracy. Judges score on clean effective punching if you Outland a guy significantly, no judge will score against you even if you are far less accurate. these guys are good at messing up

I love this game man, I only play at HW and use low ranked fighters like you. That's where I find the enjoyment, beating those who rely on exploits. If they can eliminate the cheaters and fix connection issues, this game can build a big following

I think they need to bring down the block strength, let the block break after one clean power punch through it or maybe 3/4 punches go off it. The issue is there is a lot of problems with telling what is landing. When punches I'm certain are landing they aren't being scored.

The block strength leads to so many fights going the distance, strike.. Block.. Strike.. Block.. Rinse and repeat, what's worse is low block tends to act as a. High block for some characters too. My honest opinion? They havent made the appropriate development hires and they're holding onto dead weight.

Great video as always. I wish they'd focus on the cheating, connection issues and the other core problems. It's great they added a nice new venue but that's like putting new tires on a broken down car. Get the car running first then freshen it up and make it pretty.

It might be that Steel City have blocked you if you've been flagged for cheating or quitting. Try using mobile data to connect, if it doesn't work teach to to Steel City on their discord!

I have noticed that Larry Holmes is unbelievably fast. I used Ali on the offline play, then used Larry and Larry was twice as fast as Ali. Ali is over powered in this game but now he feels so slow ( in terms of punch speed compared to larry ). you may not agree with me on this but Ali should have faster punch speed and a lot less power.

With Larry, try doing a stepback lunge.. He moves at the speed of light. The game in its current state can be highly exploited Online.. And tbh.. I'm losing interest 🤷‍♂️

Funny I just said to someone the other day. The biggest mistake they are making is this focus on a massive roster. You can’t even feint in this game. When you punch someone in the face, it does nothing to their stamina (which is insane), the AI is so easy. and I can go on about very basic things that still haven’t been corrected. But when you’re working with a limited budget and you’re pouring so many resources into a massive roster, you don’t have much room for anything else. The roster is fine for now. Focus on game play and keep rolling out fighters over time. It’s not an accident everyone has similar complaints.

Yup, I was thinking the same regarding Larry Cali. They were better off creating a goFundme, (not partnering up with whomever is doing an incompetent job in offering resources), and nailing the fight mechanics with boxers from their hometown, Steel City. With the foundation down, then they could have expanded. I have a video coming out tomorrow, sadly I don't think the game is going to survive for much longer.. Stay tuned 🥊

They actually made the game worse with this update. I’m actually ABC certified judge. And they are now putting way too much weight on accuracy. No judge scores a fight in accuracy. Judges score a fight on who lands more clean effective shots. If you Outland someone significantly, you can land 10 percent of your shots to his 50 and it doesn’t matter. I just outlanded someone in every round and lost the fight. I don’t know who is leading this ship, but they really are screwing up.

I think it's the American guy often seen in the roundtable videos. You can tell he lacks appreciation for the core fanbase who purchased at early access, and has 0 knowledge on boxing.

The game feels much better with each updates to me,i can feel the impact and damage more now for punches,and def game runs much better with my old timer gtx 1070 after an update no fps drops at all atm which is great,i have a great confidence on dev team to improve game better and better,i dont even compare with FNC couse it far better then that arcady game,looking forward to have,Tyson,Liston,Pacman,Foreman,Duran,Holyfield,Lamotta,and lastly Larry holmes feels so op to me )

The last thing they needed to do was make the overall movement slower. If anything, should have increased it and only slow down the movement when rocked. Boxers in real life move much faster. They hyped and marketed this as a “sim”. Boxers can’t even circle around each other and the camera movement is not good. This is far from a “sim”. 🤦‍♂️

Well funny enough it seems the fighters are slower, however they can still move laterally really fast, especially the likes of Fury. Honestly I played 5 games last night against high ranked fighters, and it's just exploit after exploit. I'm giving it a break until the next update

Update is straight trash. It seems they’re trying to get casual fans into the game. Gameplay is too slow. They nerfed all attempts of counter punching. The “hit you, try not to get hit” strat is completely useless now. Dipping and slipping isn’t reactionary anymore. You’re more magnetized to your opponent based on certain punches thrown. It’s really a mess. None of this was needed. We waited two months and this is what they gave us. Kinda crazy when you think about it.

Holmes is a bit too OP, southpaw + jab into right uppercut to the body is all you need to win against anyone. other than that he is pretty balanced, maybe a bit too fast.

Update completed.. I haven't even started a match and the first thing i see is Larry Holmes rated 87 with his jab at 85... 😤😤😤😤😤😤 claimer.. my boy.. this game... pisses me off more and more each update. I mean why keep dropping new characters if you're not going to get the stats right!?!??!?!? According to this game, Larry Holmes had a glass-chin with a weak jab, and liked to keep his distance.... lighting hands perk with 88 punch speed.. he's slower than wilder. 😂

It's a travesty! I can only imagine the ratings are due to politics behind the scenes, I'm sure managers & fighters have their demands since the game isn't established yet. A bit like getting licenses for cars as long as there's no damage inflicted in game.

But it feels Holmes is faster. He feels faster than Ali as well. I get that he beat Ali but he is no faster than Prime Ali which I assume is the rating of Ali in the game.

The slip mechanic (diagonal dodge) seems to be programmed to every boxer in the game, even tall boxers and boxers who never did it in real life. I believe this move should be disabled on CPU tall outside boxers who relied on their jabs and should be only for shorter CPU brawlers and forward infighters. This animation slip mechanic looks good on Lomachenko, but I beleive a more subtle, less body movement, more head slip movement animation should be the generic move if they want to attach a move like that to each fighter in the game. When you have both CPU fighters dipping doing the diagonal dodge every minuite it doesn't look realistic. No real fight looks like this. Stamina aside, the way this move is animated it's looks like it was made for Lomachenko and just applied to every fighter in the game to make it easier for the player to get inside, instead of reducing the head tracking so players can slip punches easier and making the slip /dodging easier and quicker for the player to execute.

So I just played with Larry. There is a massive fuck up. Larry had one of the best jabs in boxing. It’s not long enough, but the bigger issue is that it doesn’t really land for whatever reason. It’s like not lined up right.

Yeah this seems to be an issue accross the board regarding punch accuracy. I've had the same issue with Frank Bruno, specifically the forward jab, it's almost pointless now, since you're walking into a hook spam if it misses.

It wasn't much wrong with the last update I'll probably wait for the next update and play again.

Games still broke. 9/10 Ranked matches they punch through blocks, one hit dazed, stamina drains, yet you can't daze them even with 5/6 punch combos ending in power shots. Garbage Game when playing ranked.
