Instant sub. You really know this game and it's mechanics more than anyone else I've ever seen. I'm a pretty lonely player as I have no friends that are hard-core boxing fans and therefore don't have the game. I'm up to pro difficulty but for some reason Tommy Morrison in the Heavyweight division is driving me nuts. I can beat him on points with Louis and KO him with Wilder but every other HW feels borked. Now with this knowledge I'll find it easier to guard against his power hooks to the body and finally beat the mofo 100% of the time. I need more tips though. I'm finding it hard and don't really understand what classes as a counter as the game doesn't really explain it well. In FNC it was explained and easy to pick up. In undisputed it seems random punches are counters and I don't know why, especially in 50/50 exchanges in the pocket.

@@19822andy they made a lot of weird changes since early access that I don’t entirely agree with. Since the last patch you’ll notice counter punches at Pro difficulty will happen to you more frequently since you’ll whiff punches. I don’t use them much online, but offline the Feint is incredibly important.

I got the game like a week or two after release and I play on undisputed difficulty. Counters are one of the most effective way to stun your opponent. Try throwing a jab or feint to get the cpu to throw, use your weave to evade their punches and respond with a counter when they whiff. You can also keep your feet moving and use dodging and slipping to make the opponent miss to counter

And the people that are complaining about carrer mode havent been 51-0 yet , or yet alone won all 4 division belts !!! All we need is press confrence and buy our own gyms at the end to train in.......

@@reggieholmes1951 in the official launch version of the game blocking is going to be a bit different. Can hit LB to block body or just use the stick. I’ve noticed LB has a input delay. Also, leaning to the side while blocking so that the elbow drops to the hip use to work on early access - it doesn’t seem to work as well anymore.

I’m new so forgive the dumb question , Does this still apply? , I’ve tried to do the block counter but can’t seem to get the counter flash, when holding both triggers it doesn’t let me fire shots back unless I let go of block. So to time the shot landing on the block with a quick counter shot doesn’t seem possible.

@@mr11981 a lot of yes and no, here. I’ll attempt to address the changes on Monday when I finally drop a video. The issue right now is that everyone is spamming power punches and the devs have stated that the punches going through the block is not working as intended. I am unsure if they are referring to the old stuff not working (I.e; what’s in this video) or not. I can say that blocking the head, all of this still applies. And with Philly shell fighters, the body is no longer as protected.

this game frustrates me because blocking isn’t consistent. at 6:19 you were doing the same punches to the body, but sometimes just hits and sometimes doesn’t. it even hit the head even though that was the side you were covering and it was the same punch, but just decided to hit that time.

Block Mechanics are not available in Online Fights. Only on OFFLINE Head To Head or against CPU. Why you doing this to people bro?

Bro, the block mechanics are totally available online. If you lean left or right while blocking, your character will move his hands to manual positions. OFFLINE you can turn on simulation mode and move your hands without having to lean as well. All of my videos are from online, brother. I am doing it Online.
