Richard has a good point in saying that, while Lamar played great, most of the credit for Monday night's win goes to the defense. With that being said, going purely based on "percentage of TDs scored by the QB" is a pretty small brain perspective; it doesn't account for all the things Lamar is indirectly responsible for. If Edwards is able to run for a touchdown at the 3 yard line because the defense can't just key in on the RB in case Lamar takes it, Lamar isn't credited with the touchdown but his skillset and what he does allows for it to happen. This is why you typically see RBs have a lot of success on teams with running QBs, because the additional threat of the QB's ability to run helps it.

Me being a niners fan Purdy played really bad but both QBs got delt with pressure. Both QB got sacked and did make mistakes Purdy did a lot more mistakes but lamar did also. Thats why I think MVP shouldn't go to either QBs

The MVP isn't about box score numbers. It is about the player that is the best player on the field week in and week out. The player that is the very reason a team wins the majority of their games. The player you could put on any team and he be a difference maker. That said. Lamar is that guy. CMC is that guy. Tyrek Hill is that guy. Josh Allen... there is a good argument for him, but there are a few other QBs that can do exactly what he does in his scheme.

MVP voting is mainly about 3 things combined : team record, stats, and human element (perception, story lines, eye test etc.) Lamar leads in 2 of these 3 categories, team record by a game and human element as he played one of his best games against the “best” team and was by far the best player on the field while purdy played his worst game against the “second best” team. Voters can’t unsee that game. Cmac killed it but wasn’t better than Lamar yesterday either

Purdy should have never been in the conversation in the first place. It's CMC if we're gonna say Lamar doesn't have the numbers. This has been my argument all season, no QB has a legit MVP season like Manning, Rodgers, Mahomes, Brady types they are in the 45-50 TD range. That's why it's been so up in the air to begin with. Purdy stats are all front running stats where everything is going perfect for SF and they're up by multiple possessions.

Love watching the Bills haters dance around why they can't consider Josh Allen for MVP 😂 Most total TD's by a mile, better TD to INT ratio than all but one QB, second in yards, and he's leading a huge comeback to push the Bull's into the playoffs after season ending injuries to Bills top 3 all-prp players on defense. Several losses were also due to fluke defense and special teams mistakes. He passes the eye test and, he's more responsible for the offense's success than any other player in the league, and he literally does this every year and gets snubbed every year.
