One of these days they will be right, so they keep doubling down on the arrival of the cliff. Don't forget that they also added Wirfs, Winfield, Gronk, and Brown plus their young secondary and Devin White improved a lot. Clearly Brady was the most important piece, but he wasn't the only piece. If anything give Brady credit for being smart enough to pick a team with lots of young talent that he knew would get better.

The same argument saying Brady is the reason they won can be made for the talent, cause in reality both reasons matter. Casuals who are Brady haters might've started bringing up the defense after the SB, but that doesn't mean it wasn't good. There were especially elite against the run even when Vea was hurt, and once Vea came back they became even better against it. People also knew they had a very, very young secondary with lots of talent that predictably struggled some but improved throughout the season. The only real surprise with that team to people who knew the roster was that Wirfs and Winfield were that good as rookies.
