Brady was with the owners of the Tampa Bay Bucs shortly before he made the statement he would be returning, Tampa has many very important players who are now free agents and Tampa wants to keep them. What if they talked Brady into un-retiring knowing that would help keep many of those players in Tampa, possibly signing multi-year deals(like Jensen just did after Brady made announcement) and then after several of them are committed to Tampa Brady retires again. What if this is just a ruse to get big names to stay in Tampa at least for the next 2 or 3 years, they know Brady is a huge draw. Or Maybe this is a deal they made with Brady in order to be traded to 49ers or somewhere. BA has said Tampa would never trade Tom away, but what if a deal was made like, ok Tom we'll ok the trade but only if you do this for us, come out of retirement and help us sign as much talent as possible before we announce the trade. It's also about contribution and level of skill true, however people are much more willing to "overlook" it when there's a higher level of accomplishment behind the person. Even if Aaron Rodgers is better, it matters less over the course of history. Nobody's gonna remember the small context "Oh look how much Aaron Rodger's contributed" over "How many rings do they have". People aren't going to remember Jay Cutler "should have" beat Ronnie Coleman a few more times. Just that Ronnie Coleman has 8 titles while Jay has 4. Similarly nobody cares that Manny Pacquiao "should have" beaten Mayweather, just that he lost. You can argue "b-but b-but" all you want but the only people who care are those in the moment.
