They always looked for excuses to blame Mr. Winston to give the perceptions the he was undisciplined and uncoachable and he just could not play at a high level. But all Mr. Winston needed was the right type of coach to get a game plan that could bring out the best of his talents. They should have brought back Mr. Dungy to work with Mr.Winston and he would have gotten the media off his back and better help him focus on playing football.

Your comment is actually very subtle. For those who don’t get it, a kid is a baby goat. However this is also a rubbish comment. The idea of Tom Brady telling BA that he’s going to step down is hilarious
@matthewbertram43122 жыл бұрын
I believe it has to do with the existence of Brady, but not specifically Brady himself asking for it as an ultimatum. I doubt that a 45 year old player, Tom Brady or not, has the pull to say, "It's him or me." And I'd be surprised if it was presented that way. Brady came to TB and showed them what they were missing to create a truly winning culture. And they've been saying that all along. But everyone assumed that meant just having a presence on the field, in the locker room, etc. What I think the ownership realized after Brady retired (out of frustration) was that BA was part of the problem. He's a passionate, smart, charismatic guy; but he doesn't quite have the temperament for a HC. I think the owners went to Brady after he retired and volunteered this. They saw one too many situations of Brady raising his hands and saying, "See?" THEY told HIM, "OK, we see it. Come back and we'll sort out the coaching situation." And not Brady offering to come back IF they do this. The result is the same, but I bet Brady would've stayed retired if TB didn't approach him with this offer.

This is really crazy and I hate I have to be the one to shed light on this situation. BA was hired 3 years ago and once he was hired assembled an ALL black staff. The next year he broke the mold and hired WOMEN coaches to help the team and was the first to do it. Every step of the way he has been campaigning for his guys to have head coaching jobs. After the season he was contemplating retiring the following year. He said he thought about what it would look like when he retired. Bowles, Leftwich, and all the other coaches might not get the opportunity that he could give them now, which was coach a Super Bowl contending team. They would have gotta one of the worst jobs in the league and been fired in a year and that’s if they got hired at all ! He always said his goal was to have a succession plan. He coached Todd in college and they have been together forever. BA decided to do what most of the NFL world and the rest of the world won’t and that’s give BLACK men a real opportunity to succeed in a favorable position. BA should be awarded and honored for this. He is a true legend ✊🏽👏🏽

Been a fan of brady for pretty much all his career and born and raised in the tampa area. I remember when tom came to the bucs i told all my friends that i didnt think they would win the first year but after that first year they need to fire BA for his second year. So tom to me was kind of a victim of his success its hard to justify getting rid of a coach right after he wins. Now before tom joined the bucs i didnt mind BA being the head coach at all i knew he was a competent offensive mind and i liked todd bowles on d ever since he won 10 games with a jets team that, preseason there were people honestly thinking they may not win a game. But as soon as tom came to the team i knew BA wouldnt cut it the bucs went from a playoff hopeful team to a super bowl contender and to win a super bowl you need every advantage you can get and to me BA at this point in his career is not willing to put in the hours to achieve that advantage.

If / When they go back to the Super Bowl this next season, it will skyrocket Bradys legacy and overall stock even further. > IF < successful ... So something definitely changed. Bruce has gone through a lot health wise. It's hard to absolutely say it's all on Brady. Again, "Timing" has a lot to do with this. There is a report that Brady was furious at how Arians handled that situation. He thought the situation could be salvaged by sending him to the trainer and going from there. Brady was probably right because AB could have hit his numbers the next game. One of Brady's biggest talents is his relationship skills with other great players. Who knows what would have happened had they had AB throughout the playoffs.

I think its perfectly fine for BA to publicly chastise Tom, he should be able to take it since he knows people have higher expectations for him
@jay_12122 жыл бұрын
Personally I disagree but I understood the sentiment. Even though BA clearly wants Brady to be his best, I still can’t shake the feeling that he’s low key just throwing his own guy under the bus

It's not good to do that in public.

@@bestorworst7012 as Jay up above stated he threw Brady under the bus. why do that publicly to ur own team mate how does that make sense?

@@bestorworst7012 Because you're the new coach, he had 6 rings before you if there is a problem it's you, it's like having a press conference to say you're not doing your job.

BA would never go quietly like that. If Tom forced him out we would know about it. Bruce is a savage.

Very interesting take on what happened in Tampa Bay. Not surprised that BA got the boot. He put his fingers in the pie and the men that were deeply involved in the game would have none of it. So BA was kicked upstairs.

Tom Brady has had essentially what amounts to a lot of number 1 hits. Why wouldn't he act like a diva. He's the Mariah Carey of the NFL. Change the offense for me. Sign the players I want you too. The Coach criticized me so I'm going to quit but I'll come back if he's gone.

Not a Brady fan but I hope they at least make the playoffs for Todd Bowles sake. Black coaches have a short shelf life compared to their losing white counterparts. One losing season for a black coach and you're out of there!

Does everyone not realize BA has done this before? This is the same way he left Arizona. He randomly decided to retire.

This was completely out of nowhere. Also, Arians was not fired. He voluntarily stepped down to move to a front office position, although I can see the argument that Brady had a role in it.
