Your main worry should be the runaway housing market that this administration didn’t protect, housing is unaffordable because of the Fed policies and the sheer amount of money Congress printed. The yield curve has been inverted for a record number of days and every recession indicator has triggered, we are not in a recession yet because again, the Fed printed an ungodly amount of money. But a recession is very much in the cards, a good portion of Americans feel like they are living in one because they are. Corporations are not. Tariffs made China invest billions of dollars in Mexico by the way, to get around the country of origin law. I’m a finance guy. Go read the financial news. It’ll do you good.

The tariffs are designed to prevent jobs from leaving the US, that’s the point. If you were a multi million dollar business trying to make money, why would you want to spend money on American workers where you need to hive them a minimum wage, healthcare, etc. When you could simply just operate in china where you could produce products for literal pennies? That’s where the tariffs comes into play. You could continue to manufacture abroad with what’s essentially slave labor, but now you need to pay a large fee to sell your products to the American market, offsetting any earnings you’d get from producing with an incredibly cheap labor force. As for the “cheap labor force” as you call em,(It’s good to know that’s what you think of these people.) this is a labor force that’s being abused, you want cheap? There’s plenty of children we can use for labor, they’re young and have few living expenses, you can pay em nothing! No. What we need is to properly pay our workers, not give away jobs to non-citizens.
