Your previous power-monk video was killer! I breezed through Act 3 normal, and got my second ascendancy points with almost no struggle. I did have to trade for some new equipment, but that was minimal. I'm looking forward to crushing cruel difficulty and finally getting into the end game to see what all the fuss is about. I have also learned from some of your other videos that I need to get magic find on my gear, because my loot drops are pitiful and now I know why. Thanks for helping to make my monk awesome!

Loving this build. I went straight glass cannon the first half of the game and was getting 1 shot by random shit all the time. I switched to this and I still do about the same damage but can tank wayyyyy more before I’m even sweating it. Thanks for the advice!

I thank you so much for your monk built - as it helped me very much - initial I was stuck and could not proceed without huge fights - now it is so much more easy and fun. I love this built it feels like I have a light saber. Additional I have picked up 20% increased walking speed on the boots it feels like flying over the maps and the turning the enemies ito shattered ice is a pleasure again and again.

Adding that bonkers ring called ''Polcirkern'' (or w/e the F its called) into the mix makes this build super godlike. T16 maps are like walk in the park. Everything explodes into tiny chunks of ice around you! Having that 92% increased ailment threshold on monsters or 50% elemental resistance on your maps can get annoying though!

Meta thing I am hearing is Herald of Ice can not freeze & Herald of Thunder can not shock. So some folks put lightning infusion in Herald of ice making it do the shocks. And cold infusion in Herald of Thunder to make it do the freeze. Have you tried this? The videos ppl put up show it wiping entire screens and even going off screen. Someone even used it on a Deadeye.

Afaik the screen wipes are done by the Herald of Ice with Invoker "I am the blizzard" node plus Polcirkeln unique ring. Herald and node slone work, but not to that extend

have to try, i’ve been running cold infusion on ice herald and lightning infusion on thunder herald and it’s been wiping the screen but im sure its probably cause of the ring. i posted a short showcase video on my channel. ima test this out tho and see the difference thank you!

It works quite flawlessly when take the nodes that let you gain extra lightning damage. Just get a really high physical dmg staff, 5% of which will be converted to lightning for herald of ice, plus 25% lightning dmg gained from the gem, you're more than likely to shock with herald of ice. If not, put in the 100% shock chance gem. If you can still not shock, take the 10% lightning dmg gained from the accendancy

I really wish that you had done almost a step by step when to add everything I am on the struggle bus with this part of the build. Loved your first video that monk was a tank. Nice guide and based. I cant watch other guides who basically play trade and got crazy gear with I dont know how many divs. Sorry, I want to play the game and not play trade simulator. I am not SSF and do fill up gear gaps with some exalts. I gave you a sub :)

I found I can do without the crit nodes left of the Resonance key passive, if I had to choose and forgo any points. This way I can take the dexterity stuff ending in " 1% attack speed for every 15 dex" thing. I also tried out Acrobatics but didn't think it was worth it, so I reverted to "and protect me from harm" in the ascendency. Nice hint to go for an all energy shield helmet, def worth it! I don't use Herald of thunder, as I wasn't sure if lightning damage always does shocking, and the tooltip doesn't say.

Hi, I have a question in regards to the Ice Strike DPS: mine is only half of yours showen in the video, although all my perimeters (The Blue Numbers) are nearly identical. The only diference is my Critical Hit chance, which is only 15%, compared to the 30% in the video. I also have taken the exact same passive skill points ( A few are missing ), but I still dont understand this massive difference in numbers

You're not missing anything. I just finished the campaign and went into maps at around 50 hours. I played a few characters because Cruel got boring. End-game Maps is a slog. It's not fun. And incredibly tedious. You're better off starting a new character once you finish the campaign.

Am lvl 66 with this build just got to end game and getting killed left and right am not sure it’s bc I need to get my 3rd ascendancy done but I cannot clear tier two waystones? Enemies are also lvl 66. I have 1K ES and 1K life my resistance is ok not the best. I also have to change the ascension to the protect me part of the build. I’ll attempt the chaos trial and see if I can complete to get the other two points to change the ascension that you are using here. I am still using the ascension from early on. The end game is very frustrating to say the least.

At first I was using Kitokos Current Jewelled Gloves, but I out levelled the use as it was not giving me much in terms of energy shield. 😅 a better roll on those gloves would be amazing.

Lack of Spirit: Need Help At 9:20 he says, "Since we have tons of Spirit from our Chest Piece." Why, I don't understand. The Chest Piece he shows at 12:45 doesn't seem to give any additional Spirit ... I Just got to Act 1 Cruel and currently have no Spirit for: Herald of Thunder, Ghost Dance, and Wind Dancer ... Yes, this was the reason I did not have enough Spirit ... however, even after switching my Acendancy Passive Skill points from Unbound Avater to Lead Me Through Grace, I still do not have enough Spirit to activiate even one of Herald of Thunder, Ghost Dace, of Wind Dancer ... :( ... I might switch back to Unbound Avatar until I can get a better Chest Piece.

@@Saoshaner Just trade with another player for some armour that has additional spirit. I personally got a chest piece with +30 spirit and an amulet with +45 spirit. You should have plenty of currency by now to trade with so should be easy to get. I was chilling at 135 spirit before even beating act 3 for the first time :P

All good except for one thing, the spirit...running at 113 spirit(or 134, depending on the gear), and I can use only 2 buff gems. If I spec into ''lead me to grace'' ascendant passive talent point I go even less spirit...any idea how to increase the spirit?

You cannot change your ascendancy class. This is an invoker, it will be invoker forever. You can only refund points and reallocate them.

the points you have already spent into you can change for over 5000 a piece but some can't change the initial ascendancy class.

Not sure if you mean the type of ascendency (this isn't possible), but you can just respec the points in there like any other passive points.

You cannot change asc. Once you pick one of the two paths you are bound to that path on the current character as the game currently stands. I hope they allow asc changing when they add the 3rd asc for all classes.

POE is infinitely bigger in endgame than D4, in POE the campaing is considered the tutorial

Depends one which diablo were talking about. But in general, yes. The deep customization baked into the skill tree alone would make it better but thats just the tip of the iceberg. Even Grim Dawn was better than D3 and D4 and comparable to D2. I feel like POE2 exceeds what even D2 did in its day.

Do all the bosses recommended first in normal and cruel mode to get spirit. Then all your extra spirit will fall into place from armor.

Okay.. So I just got to the endgame with this build of yours.. but I've hit a wall.. Will you be doing a Endgame build with Monk.? Update: lvl 76 and having no issues now.. Just had to change a few pieces of gear and get a Staff that wasn't 25 lvl's below.

I had an issue on my monk. I did my first trial and selected my path, unlocked 3 nodes. After the chaos trial i went to select 3 more but i couldnt select any. I backed out the tree and couldnt go back in. So im stuck on 3 nodes 😪 using lighting and freeze monk hes awesome. Im on maps now and only used 1 herald ability i actually wasn't aware more couldnt be active at once

Why dont you have your weapon set passive points assigned? I use mine at the smaller nodes that dont lead to main big nodes cause they cant be used on those. But if you use a weapon passive point on a node line where it dead ends its worth it once you use a weapon passive point you cant lay a regular paassive point beyond it so i realize in those cases where it doesnt dead end off it isnt worth it. Also gotta make sure to not make the mistake of applying weapon passive points and regular passive points over one another as you can and that is a waste. I had to play with it a while to understand it. You can lay a weapon passive point beyond a regular passive point at any time though. Just not a regular beyond a weapon passive point. So again use only with dead ends or spots you know you wont need to advance beyond.

@P4wnyhof yeah but they work like regular passive skill points.. so if you use the 24 weapon passive skill points it's an additional 24 passive nodes you can add to your tree that you didn't have before. I agree I don't use weapon set 2 passive points either but for weapon set 1 you should use it. Your just leaving a lot of damage on the table for literally zero reason.

People will love this build until T15 maps. I have double most your stats, the bottom line is evasion doesn't work in T15/16 and armor is useless. Take it from a 90 ice strike monk with great items, the tankiness doesn't exist - go ranged.

Is this build budget friendly? I am level 80 Invoker with 1.000.000 gold and about 100-140 ex ( if I would exchange some stuff ). I really need help with my build, because I keep dying on T9 maps and its very frustrating but every item for my current build to work better would at least cost a divine for each piece. Would love to see more of the endgame, but getting help with builds and budget efficiency is pretty hard as a newbie
