true story: he got good by practicing all night at his HS. after he graduated, he was hired as the night custodian. he'd clean the school as fast as he could so he could spend the rest of the night playing guitar. he would wheel his half-stack into the gym and just shred all night. at least that's what he said in a podcast i heard.
