Yes. Jesus is real along with his word. But something to think about here, and it applies to all of us. Bible says in the book of John about Jesus actual brothers that they did not believe in him. I'm sure that his brothers believed he existed. For neither did his brethren believe in him. John 7:5 KJV I believe this is why later in this same chapter Jesus says... He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. John 7:38 KJV Believe on vs believing in. could have a slight difference to someone's mindset. So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 KJV Such a true verse hearing the bible and seeing Jesus on every page from genesis to revelation. Can be no doubt Jesus is the I AM. Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. John 8:58 KJV Yea, before the day was I am he; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand: I will work, and who shall let it? Isaiah 43:13 KJV In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. John 1:1-3 KJV for by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: Colossians 1:16 KJV

Mens hearts are continually evil/bad though out history as the bible says over and over. We have to overcome the thought of "how could God allow such evil to exist" the answer is in his word. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead. Luke 16:29-31 KJV Seeing miracles wont do it either. By thy words you shall be justified. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. Romans 10:10-11 KJV But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. Matthew 12:36-37 KJV

@@Mr.Grumps565 That's not entirely accurate. Religion spread through love and martyrdom, wherein the Roman empire severely persecuted the Christians. The Roman-Catholic church established itself later on when they didn't manage to exterminate Christianity. It's not surprising that they would bring some of their conquering attitudes along. Especially those who had a Pharisean attitude towards religion.

I just realized the symbolism of Jesus being laid in a manger: Just like sheep feed from the manger, so we as sheep of the Good Shepherd are called to feed from Him. The old food of which our ancestors ate and died has been replaced with new food in the form of the Son of God who gave up his life to nourish and sustain us for all eternity, as it is written: “Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever feeds on me, he also will live because of me. This is the bread that came down from heaven, not like the bread the fathers ate, and died. Whoever feeds on this bread will live forever." (John 6:56, ESV)
@Pangie12 Жыл бұрын
Same here I just realized the symbolism. Isn’t it magnificent? Jesus said He is living water. He’s the one who will provide for His flock. It’s so fascinating how the more and more you study the Bible it becomes even more intricate.

Something remarkable about that prophecy in Micah 5:2, that I wish the commenters should have spent more time elaborating on. Specifically the interesting phrase "Bethlehem Ephrathah". Why did the bible writer make it a point to insert the connected word "ephratheh" to Bethlehem in this prophesy? As it turns out during the 1st century CE, there were 2 villages called Bethlehem. One in the northern region of Palestine, and the other in the southern region. The one to the north of Jerusalem was more prominent and well known. The one to the south, was considered insignificant. Just another one of your peasant hilly villages. To dstinguish the more important one from the other, the popular phrase "ephratheh" was attached to the southern village during that era. But there was no such distinctive phrase attached to it hundreds of years early during Micah's time. This is why King Herod, when he was told the prophecy at Micah 5:2, as recorded at Matt 6:2- that the future Messiah would be born in Bethlehem- he knew exactly which of the 2 Bethlehem's the prophecy was eluding too- and sent the foreign visiting Magi priests from the east that they would find this king in the village to the south of Jerusalem, and not the north. How on earth did Micah, so many hundreds of years earlier, know exactly which of these 2 Bethlehems the Messiah would be born in? Another one of the incredibly accurate prophecies found in the historical record of the Bible.

@user-uj9rw7un7t yes it was. And since the Torah is found in the first 5 books of the Bible, and is inspired of God, His divine inspiration is also in the Bible. Whether seperated from or included, either way it does not make these books that make up the torah any less inspired by God.
@intentionally-blank6 ай бұрын
@@Safi-j3m The definition of the word Torah is literally “instruction,”. When Jews say “Torah,” they likely refer to the five books of Moses (The Pentateuch), the foundation of all Jewish instruction and guidance. Micah's prophecies are in the Prophets or Nevi'im. The bible collection used by Yeshua=Jesus followers includes Micah and another 65 (or so) books including Matthew through The Revelation of Yeshua Hamashiach. Then I said, "Behold, I have come; in the scroll of the book it is written of me: I delight to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart." - Psalm 40:7-8 Then I said, 'Behold, I have come--In the volume of the book it is written of Me--To do Your will, O God.' " Previously saying, "Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them" (which are offered according to the law), then He said, "Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God." He takes away the first that He may establish the second. By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. - Hebrews 10:7-10 Shalom!

Micah also makes reference to a place called Migdal Eder (tower of the flock) in relation to the birth place of Christ. It was a shepherd tower used by priest boys who took care of the sacrificial lambs. In the bottom portion of this tower was a birthing chamber for sacrificial lambs. This is where Jesus was born. This makes the most sense because we know Jesus to be the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. We also know that this sheep farm was also where David grew up, and it was given over to the temple once David began his reign as king. This is validated throughout scripture but it cuts against the western idea of what his birth place look liked and so it was rejected for a lack of understanding of the culture

Thank you for all your hard work bringing us these fascinating evidences for the historical truth of the Bible. On the subject of Bethlehem, I recently realised that features of Jesus's birth also pointed to His death and resurrection. Swaddling clothes (birth) = linen grave cloth (death). Placed in a stone manger (birth) = stone tomb (death). No room at the inn (birth) = no room in people's hearts for Him (death). That you've shown that He was also born in an actual cave adds weight to the conviction that, even at Jesus's birth, God was pointing us to His eventual sacrifice and resurrection. How amazing and glorious. ❤
