Hey Tony. That’s true. I love working outside. The plans for the house are to get the yurt up first then we are moving out of the house and beginning some of the renovations :) first stop strip the floors and insulate

Small tip for putting screws into wood that might split, put the drill into reverse pushing the screw into the timber for a few seconds then put the drill into forward and send the screw in, works a treat 👍 or use the the star head bit as a pilot bit driving it into the timber 1st then ur screw also works a treat, just speeds things up, if its for rough work
@OffGridBruce2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip. I had never heard the reverse trick I will have to give that a try

When using an expensive lens on a camera you should always put a UV filter on it. It prevents scratching the lens.

Instead of the strimmer, have you considered using a scythe?, the cut grass would then be long enough to make hay, and leave it in a clamp, to feed the animals overwinter,,
@OffGridBruce2 жыл бұрын
Hey Philip. I actually have been thinking of getting a scythe for quite a while now. I like the ones fruit hill farm have but I’m not sure what’s right for me. The area I strimmed is going to be our market garden so leaving the grass where it is to mulch down this year. Do you use a scythe or have any resources I could look at?

@OffGridBruce2 жыл бұрын
It’s an Efco stark and it’s good. I think it was about 400 and I’m using the Oregon mulching blade. The Titan one snapped the attachment end off and screwfix gave me a full refund. All that being said I’m really keen to get a scythe
