This trip takes place on December 9, 2023. The target species of the day is crappie, but when you are using small baits there is no telling what will bite. The bait used is a Zman Baby Goatz on a 1/16oz. jig head.

That is one prehistoric fish there. Name job with the baby goatz. I haven't had much success on that.

Thank you! It was the first paddle fish I’ve ever had in my hand. They are an amazing creature for sure. I wish they were more plentiful and there was a way to target them. So far the Zman micro plastics have been productive. The baby ballerz is what I’m using now and getting positive results it. Those will be in the next one. Thanks for checking out the video!

Thank you! Yeah once you get up the river there is no telling. Seems like all of the species like the small micro lures.

That’s awesome, is Missouri one of the states where you are allowed to keep them? I’ve always heard they were good tasting.

@Eightmile_Drifter yes sir we get 45 days a year to fish for them season goes from mid March to April 30th
@club1nefishingoutdoors9 ай бұрын
@Eightmile_Drifter they have to be at least 34 inches from eye to fork in tail to keep

@@club1nefishingoutdoors that’s a short season, still I’m a little jealous y’all have so many. 34” without the bill would be a large fish. You would probably get some sizable fillets from a spoonbill that size.
