Unexpected Encounter with Legendary Driver Keiichi Tsuchiya at Tsukuba Circuit!

Tsukuba circuit is one of those tracks that I feel like I've known forever, perhaps only second to Laguna Seca. So much of my childhood was spent at these circuits, virtually, so it was fantastic to meet another one in real life, despite not being able to drive it.
The day was made a little bit more special by the surprise appearance of Keiichi Tsuchiya, who was racing a Tesla of all things.

Hey Danny if you ever feel like you would want to experience a kart like in the opening scene. I drive a few of these on karting tracks in belgium/netherlands and I would be more than happy to let you drive one of my karts. They go about 70mph max and its extremely fysical and fast.

Amazing innit? Tsukuba has something in common with the Nurburgring Green Hell. One of the shortest tracks in Japan requires a specific licence to drive on it same as the Ring does, the longest track still in use! I think they have a bit of penile envy!
