I usually watch election coverage until a winner is projected, but after this year's campaigns and the disgusting political skullduggery that preceded it, I had all I could by 8PM and turned it off. I turned on the TV dreading another "2AM surprise" but was shocked and pleased when he was announced the winner. I've slept much better for the last 10 days, that's for sure.

I work at a bridge as a toll collector for a bridge connecting NJ and Philadelphia. I start at 6am. I see between 600 to 1,000 customers a day. It's a big city. I can tell you that literally every customer came through the morning after the election with the same euphoria. It's a wonderful thing

I'm a senior citizen and haven't watched network/cable news for many years. I remember very clearly watching ABC news, as I had for years, on election night 2016. The whole ABC crew, all the big names, were around a table ready to discuss Clinton's historic win as first woman president. When Trump was announced winner not one of them had anything at all to say. They sat dumbfounded. That's when I realized they had no interest in "reporting" what was actually happening. They were completely unprepared to comment on anything at all besides their own opinions on what they thought should happen. No news, just opinions. Their opinions. I turned it off and haven't looked back, though I will say I took awhile to catch up with all this new-aged streaming stuff. Thank you both for all you do.

One point that I believe is wrong here, I'm 65. I have not watched the Nightly News or cable news or any news from the networks, in the last 10 years! Now that I'm 65, I hate the word seniors I am not! Don't put all older Americans into this category because they're just like me, savvy!

Agreed. I'm 66 and I quit Dem mainsteam media about 10 years ago: MSNBC in particular. I watched Fox after that, but quit watching mostly that except for Tucker. When Tucker was fired that was the end of it. Only podcasts now. In the last 11 years I've been doing a ton of research on political events and pretty much understand what lies have been told. I couldn't tolerate the nonsense anymore.
